The problem I perceive with the idea of having your sins annulled is that you lose all responsibility for your action's. I mean if all I have to do is say a few magic word's over myself and my sin's are forgiven, then I'll never be responsible for what I do (Because poof! There gone as soon as I commit them)

Not so...there is true saving grace from the heart that WILL bring forth His fruit, not yours. With myself, it was all in the submission, things I was holding onto and refusing to give to Him, as I said, I didn't believe His grace was sufficient...It is not possible to be in Spirit with the Living God without Him being not only your Saviour, but your Lord as well. Once the process of receiving clarity from the Spirit, people truly DO change. BTW- do you believe that scripture is the living Word of God?
People change regardless of religious preferences, too say no one can change unless they have the right religion is abhorrent.
I have not mentioned "religion". Truth is what I sought, no matter what that truth brought...it is ALL I wanted. Sincerely searching for truth will bring it to you. We cannot create our own God. Well, you can do that but, it does not make it truth. If truth is TRULY what you are looking for, you will find it.
I do hope you find what ever it is you are looking for on this site, you came here for a reason. Whatever that is I do not know.

Who knows GodsGrace, but what I do know is I've spent a good 3-4 years with ex-Christians & pretty much all of them are far more beautiful now they aren't Christian anymore.
Just brings a tear to my eye. Why don't you stay with your non-believers since it was so good there?

I understand what you are saying here. But, I don't see the 'bread alone' being the 'written Word of God'. The written Word of God is the voice of God. But in Abraham's day, it wasn't there. Just like with Adam, it wasn't there.
But certainly there is a mechanics of religion. We are really led by the Spirit of God, and the written Word of God provides what we need.

I think it's because they tried so hard to please God, most of them held on to him for dear life. But their beliefs became untenable, they refused to leave Jesus at all costs, but reality dragged them away. From this many of them have become very empathetic people, understanding and kind.
Myself, my knowledge, my experience. Plus a killer recipe for fried rice.
Means nothing when your knowledge, experience, is rooted in denial of God. Means nothing.
As far as fried rice, I am open to any good recipe. Are you oriental?
