The problem I perceive with the idea of having your sins annulled is that you lose all responsibility for your action's. I mean if all I have to do is say a few magic word's over myself and my sin's are forgiven, then I'll never be responsible for what I do (Because poof! There gone as soon as I commit them)

Not so...there is true saving grace from the heart that WILL bring forth His fruit, not yours. With myself, it was all in the submission, things I was holding onto and refusing to give to Him, as I said, I didn't believe His grace was sufficient...It is not possible to be in Spirit with the Living God without Him being not only your Saviour, but your Lord as well. Once the process of receiving clarity from the Spirit, people truly DO change. BTW- do you believe that scripture is the living Word of God?
People change regardless of religious preferences, too say no one can change unless they have the right religion is abhorrent.

I have not mentioned "religion". Truth is what I sought, no matter what that truth brought...it is ALL I wanted. Sincerely searching for truth will bring it to you. We cannot create our own God. Well, you can do that but, it does not make it truth. If truth is TRULY what you are looking for, you will find it.
I do hope you find what ever it is you are looking for on this site, you came here for a reason. Whatever that is I do not know.

Who knows GodsGrace, but what I do know is I've spent a good 3-4 years with ex-Christians & pretty much all of them are far more beautiful now they aren't Christian anymore.
Just brings a tear to my eye. Why don't you stay with your non-believers since it was so good there?

Christianity attracts all kinds of people. Because the things spoken of in the bible are so fantastic...this attracts people who are drawn to fantasy....even though the bible is speaking the truth. So then the witness of such folk tends to the fantastical and has really nothing to do with reality. Then there are the conspiracy theorists...and all manner of axe-grinders...and all this in the flesh.
But the worse kind of attraction is to they who seek to be saved by doing something or other. This has 2 sides to it. Those who look to do something...and those who react against those and do nothing. Both are according to the flesh. Both are religious and outside of the life that Jesus brings to us. So then religion masks true spiritual Christianity. Watch out for the many facades. What looks to be real often is just a ruse...and many who adopt the facade think that is all there is. In the end there is so much confusion that there is no possibility of unity. And that is because the flesh can't decide which wrong way to follow. Some people feel good about doing things...and others feel good to do nothing and let Jesus do everything for them. But neither camp know the risen Lord or have walked in His power.
But then there is a small flock...actually a very scattered flock...of they who have let go of their lives, opinions, and great ideas...to be led by the Spirit. It can be almost impossible to sort the truth from the half-truths with all the teachings and what-not. But the gospel is about LIFE. A new LIFE in Christ. And power. Power to live as Jesus lived and do as He did. In that life is an overwhelming joy, love and peace. So then only look to those who have this fruit...and walk with them.
The kingdom of God is in the Spirit...which is another dimension...a dimension that has priority over this present reality. The power of things in this life originate from that realm. To walk in the Spirit is to become FREE from the ignorance and traps that are set by nefarious spiritual entities that give our lives no meaning. Jesus sets us FREE. We are free to see what is really behind the curtain...since the curtain is no longer there.
Just think about it. Would there be so much counterfeit if there wasn't also the genuine? Who counterfeits something that doesn't have any value?
I understand what you are saying here. But, I don't see the 'bread alone' being the 'written Word of God'. The written Word of God is the voice of God. But in Abraham's day, it wasn't there. Just like with Adam, it wasn't there.
But certainly there is a mechanics of religion. We are really led by the Spirit of God, and the written Word of God provides what we need.

I think it's because they tried so hard to please God, most of them held on to him for dear life. But their beliefs became untenable, they refused to leave Jesus at all costs, but reality dragged them away. From this many of them have become very empathetic people, understanding and kind.
Myself, my knowledge, my experience. Plus a killer recipe for fried rice.
Means nothing when your knowledge, experience, is rooted in denial of God. Means nothing.
As far as fried rice, I am open to any good recipe. Are you oriental?
