Discovering who I am has been a long journey, you see there are many people who suppressed my human nature when I was young. Maybe they were afraid of what it is to be human, maybe they were afraid of whom I'd become. I've lost more than what any god can replace, I know this through & through (Kind of hard to write when those tears are pushing through)

You may be thinking, our true God can make it all better and give you something better in the end. I don't need better, I need to replace what I've lost, a relationship this side of life. No god can give me that after it's all done

I see what you're getting at, but if life is so insignificant why exist in the first place. It doesn't matter how short life might be, what's important is the time we do have in between.

And, the remaining time, with or without a wife and children who may have gone first, is as rich as we choose to make it. And it gets richer the more we focus outward instead of on ourselves.
