Ever get the feeling that when you talk to some religious people they talk like airheads. Like they don't actually have a brain of their own. They don't form opinions based on direct spiritual experience but on something the Bible said thousand's of year's ago that they believe relates. Like when I talk about why God let's my mental illness persist, they quote the verse about Paul's thorn. It's so frustrating to not hear something relatable to my specific situation.

They have a one size fits all mentality.

Well Jesus wasn't big on formulaic responses, so why are they?

Maybe the ones you are talking to are still learning and growing in the knowledge of His Word and that is all they know at the time.
Don't take this wrong but your comment sounds as if you are putting too much responsibility on others to help you with your problems....just trust in Him....and whatever measure of faith you have is enough for God.....remember the faith the grain of a mustard seed can move mountains.

Metaphorical mountains or real mountains.

Metaphorical mountains or real mountains.
WAS it totally metaphorical? The Jewish system of worship was spoken of as being a mountain by all the people. Yet, it was moved aside. Perhaps only partially metaphoric.
Then, my dog went deaf, and his hearing was restored as the two of us sat by a lake, and I actually wept in prayer. He had full hearing by the time we walked back to the house. Nothing metaphorical there. It was a mountain no dog or man has ever climbed.
Same thing happened to me with TMJ...…. instantaneously!

Paul's thorn lol, as if that is even relevant. Are you the one who had mild schizophrenia? i somehow translated that to MM and was making all kinds of suggestions that he didn't need lol. Anyway you can spend time putting down little children if you like, but imo this will not be a very fulfilling path, ok. i know you prolly don't wanna hear this, but your illness is self inflicted via your habits almost surely, and your vagus nerve is prolly the conduit, meaning in English that you have a crappy diet, CAFO protein, haven't ingested any Omega 3 in years, etc.
i split myself, with the help of a meth habit. Completely curable ok

You're a dietitian, so of course you think everything is related to diet.

honest, i'm not, i just used to eat the same stuff and it was killing me too, and experience has shown me that most/all symptoms disappear on a regimen of plant-based Omega 3. Regardless of that i guess the vagus nerve connection is documented now, so really my pov is irrelevant anyway, it's either related or it's not right. Also you are talking to a former schizophrenic who is cured and takes no Rx, fwiw. $35 for a chicken, and not one penny for Rx or doctors imo

As I have been using a different form of eating, getting away from processed food's, I have lost 15 lbs, and feel better, we started this for my Wife's sake, If we had only done this year's ago she might have escaped this cancer! I will never pay $35 for a chicken, but until then I will love chicken!

Faith metaphorically moves mountains...
Faith can also *move* actual mountains when necessary. Of course, it would take a major investment in cash and effort, depending on why the mountain needed to be *moved*.

If men spent as much time in prayer as in theological debate there would be more mountains rendered to molehills.

Proverbs 11:14 KJVS
Where no counsel is , the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

The counsellors spoken of here are scriptures - and not men. Talk with 1000 men get 2000 opinions.
