I awoke and behold it was a dream.

Fast in secret and God rewards openly the book says. It's so. Those years I would fast and the day it ended he would give me a dream or vision.

I was in a race running along with others. Most were passing me as I chugged along. As they passed by many of them laughed at me because they were so much faster. I remember feeling ashamed that I couldn't do better.

The next part of the dream changed. I was still running along and as I did I saw lying alongside the course, runners that had passed me laughing. They were panting and spent. I especially remember their eyes even after all these years. They fixed their gaze on me as I went by. They had not set themselves for the long haul. They knew I would keep on. I could see it. More importantly God could see it being the author of the dream.

The principles for a runner and for a Christian are the same. You have to run through the pain. You have to keep on even through tears.

Don't let those that pass you discourage you. Run on through the pain. There is a reward for those that stay the course.

2 Timothy 4:7-8 KJVS
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: [8] Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

We live up in the woods. We have no church and rarely even see other people. Our son and daughter are not married as suitable mates today are rare.

Our lives have been strange and set apart since Jesus came to our rural wooded acres here in the Ouachita Mountains foothills and saved us. Baptized us, with his Holy Spirit. He promised and gave us a son then two daughters, taking one of them back.

The adversary, the devil says our lives are small, separated from christendom without even the benefit of a church or even neighbors to fellowship with. Give up he says. He'll tell you the same things. Don't listen.

We run on. You run with us.

Amen. Our Christian walk, as Paul describes our race, is not a race to win, but one to finish.
Bro, don't you move to the city for any reason. Soon the cities will be uninhabitable. Outposts in nature are a rare treasure... You may still enter the town's to minister hope to the needy, then return home to rest. Living in more remote areas will no longer be an option for believers... It will be a necessity.

Hullo Frank. I'm wondering if you know of any Simple In-home Fellowships within a one hour travelling time of your location, or if you have thought of inviting like-minded Christians to your place for fellowship. There is nothing like gathering in person with other members of the body of Christ to build a support network as per Scriptural instruction. Something to seek the Lord for and pray about.

It would be hard.
But worth it. If I may can I encourage you to keep it before the Lord. I have been amazed at how He has provided me with quality fellowship over the years. Rather than settling for the nod or handshake on Sunday from people with whom there is otherwise no contact, I enjoy uplifting spiritual conversations, initially over a cup of tea with short prayers for any needs on first meeting, and later a small group fellowship meal with breaking of bread and grape juice in remembrance of Christ crucified. The Bible is clear that fellowship is important to spiritual health and growth so I am sure God will be happy to arrange some for you.
Heb 10:23-25
(23) Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
(24) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
(25) Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the day approaching.

my burden is light, but i do understand and would hate for you to think that i don't sympathize with your plight Frank.
i remember living in pain, all of the time; and i brought it upon myself, too ok.
the principles for a runner and a Christian are virtually opposites, and you will warp every Scriptural principle to justify yourself, just like you are doing now wadr

i don't mean to be rude here but you bring this stuff to a forum, these blatant appeals for help, and i guess i have been ignoring you to spare your feelings or whatever, my apologies. I will do my best to avoid letting you get away with any more of this self-involved dreck ok

Opposite? Paul said he'd run his race... A direct comparison eh?

Hahaha appeals for help? Surely you jest. Your thinking is off track. Were I on fire I'd never ask you to pour water!

Don't you even know how much you annoy folks? I think not.

I've never asked for help except from God. You seem to be a hard case against others here, not speaking of me.

When people are in trouble they don't need lectures. I sort of feel for you. I just try to share my life experience in hope someone might be encouraged.

I'm an independent live alone person that has always done everything myself. I've certainly lived without any dependence on others.

You have a critical nature and I wonder what caused. Also a blatant superiority attitude that is grating to everyone's nerves. LOL

I try to read your posts but they are so grating when you reply to anyone. I had you on the ignore list but will put you back on. You NEVER offer anyone a good word. Only a holier than thou attitude.

Paul is making a ref to his earlier dialectic comparison there, so as to hide wisdom from the wise i guess, but even reflecting on the differences makes the truth pretty obvious i guess, even "run the race in such a way so as to win" is pretty blatant imo, as close as he could get to saying "you aren't in competition with anyone else" as he could

um, not sure the point here Frank, i would currently perceive this as just another issue that you are getting wrong, and mention in passing that i understand the appeal of John Wayne, ok, do the Lone Ranger thing til you lose another kid, ok with me. You are reaping what you have sowed, and you say that up there like it's a good thing?

plus i don't believe you, you were just posting about begging some slimeball Doctor for help a couple weeks ago. He smiles real big at you too huh
You seem to be a hard case against others not speaking of me.
i like you Frank, and i would never be able to express this outside a forum to you. You and RonnieR the Alzheimer's potus are likely the forum's two fave ppl, maybe i'm just suicidal or insane?

when ppl are completely convinced of their own bs they are beyond help, Frank; you are in trouble bc you sow trouble, and you are in pain for the same reason, and using Jesus as a shield. Doesn't mean you aren't a decent person, not at all. But you might consider the irony of someone who cannot hardly stand to even live in the country that they bombed so many peasants to defend. You can serve two masters after all, maybe?

So pls understand that i am a hypocrite too, ok, i don't mean to lecture or judge, but just to connect this fascist/death/pain/walmart experience a little more succinctly for you, in response to what i can only now interpret as repeated cries for help, all the sky is falling crap, and the you know you're old when stuff?
thank God you're sequestered in the forest imo, and your ship is in a nice, safe harbor

well then there's your problem, as others have even more gently tried to state to you Frank, i mean honest i'm not trying to be a jerk here ok. Yes, i understand you need help on some basic Christian concepts, and John Wayne is dead so where you gonna go now. Trump prolly
You have a critical nature and I wonder what caused. Also a blatant superiority attitude that is grating to everyone's nerves. LOL squared!
ah, the inevitable deflection, yes, ha, you dunno the half of it bro, if you knew what shape i was in you would be embarrassed lol. Can't tell you what a joy it is to come read your Lone Stranger on Heroin posts every day, and if you wanna get offended well that kind of comes with posting in forums ok creampuff, if you don't like it you could always climb out of that fighter jet and go write a blog
