I'm curious what you think the word "soon" means if not soon.
You use private interpretation as your basis for forming a religious opinion. I don't think a human perspective means anything.

I'm curious what you think the word "soon" means if not soon.
Paul says; “so that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ; who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye be unreproveable in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, through whom ye were called into the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.” (1 Corinthians 1:7–9)
This shows your position is off.
Wow man....I got to hand it to you thinking "soon" is a secret word of private interpretation........You use private interpretation as your basis for forming a religious opinion. I don't think a human perspective means anything.
Cease =
68.46 παύω; καταπαύωc: to cause something or someone to cease from some activity or state—‘to cause to cease, to make stop.’5
παύω: παυσάτω τὴν γλῶσσαν ἀπὸ κακοῦ ‘make the tongue cease (speaking) evil’ 1 Pe 3:10.
καταπαύωc: κατέπαυσαν τοὺς ὄχλους τοῦ μὴ θύειν αὐτοῖς ‘they made the crowds stop sacrificing to them’ Ac 14:18.

There is time involved between the Revelation and the end, to which Christ also confirms us.I don't think so.
If Jesus is the Word of God, we see him face to face every time we open our bibles. The gift won't cease until Jesus comes again and we literally see Him, FACE TO FACE.

But we are not the perfect. His word is.That's not what I'm talking about. Jesus does perfect and confirm us in this lifetime.

I'm Amillennial as was Jesus. Revelation = coming too, but context determines the right choice of definition.Do you have Preterist leanings? I didn't know. It sounds like you think Jesus already came in 70 A.D.
But we are not the perfect. His word is.
Jesus is the perfect Word of God in person and written.Jesus is perfect.
Colossians 1:28
Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.
You are mixing apples and oranges.

Revelation must conform to Jesus' teaching about the kingdom and Israel. We add to the book if we side step Jesus in these matters. It is interesting that you believe the Bible is "the perfect" yet don't believe what it says in Revelation 20, let alone what it says will follow those who believe. You are an interesting mixture of dichotomies.
Says you who does not believe that God pours out His spirit upon all flesh or spiritual gifts including prophecy and even tongues. Your credibility is bankrupt.Tongues and interpretation = God's word along with prophecy. Some in every group received these gifts through an apostle's hands. But the information was in bits and pieces. Eventually, all the bits and pieces were written down and came together in the full revelation we call the NT. It was God's perfect word and the gifts then expired with the apostles, having served their purpose.
What help could it possibly be...since you do not believe in God's present spiritual interaction with His children? If you do not believe God's word is perfect, it helps me understand where you are coming from.
See above comment. What do I need to reconcile?
How am I limiting God? That's insulting to me. God can do whatever HE wants to do. He just doesn't have to advise YOU of it.
What can He do that He has not advised us of? Is there a reason why He wouldn't want us to know?
What does He tell us today that is not from scripture?
What is NEW, in your opinion?
Quote me saying we could make up new revelation...or stop saying that I said it. Because I did not, nor would I.Well, apparently you're saying that we could make up new revelation and that it should be believed.
So how's about believing the Mary dogmas??
THEY are new revelation...
Now you go from dis'ing me and a lack of appreciation for caring about a sister, to saying I am not listening after these many posts and replies. Thanks, but the aid I need comes from God, not from man who speaks past me without even listening to what I'm saying.
