Good works, not just any work, is the fruit of faith, repentance, salvation. If you are saved you will do good works.
God knows who saved, who belongs to him, etc. They do not have to prove it.
There are no good works by those repenting on their death bed due to lack of opportunity.
Works of proof are not good works at all. They are works to earn salvation or for rewards which no one can do.
Yes, "good works", works that God requires, such as "stripping off the old personality with its practices" (Col 3:9), in which Galatians 5:19-21 says: "Now the works of the flesh are plainly seen, and they are sexual immorality (sex outside marriage, same-sex relationships, see Rom 1:25-27), uncleannness (watching pornography [see Ps 119:37], smoking [see 2 Cor 7:1], using marijuana as a "recreational drug", cursing, using porno language [see Eph 4:29], unclean in habits), brazen conduct (pedophilia, same-sex relationships, see Jude 6, 7), idolatry (worship of the "state" or political governments, see Rev 14:9), spiritism (such as seances, crystal ball gazing, using the ouija board, see Deut 18:10-12), hostility, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, dissensions, wild parties, and things like these.....that those who practice such things will not inherit God's Kingdom".
Then, a true Christian has to be putting on these qualities: "On the other hand, the fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, mildness, self-control. Against such things there is no law".(Gal 5:22, 23)
These "good works" or "fruitage of the spirit" are in imitation of Jesus Christ, for the apostle Peter wrote: "In fact, to this course you were called (' of ridding oneself of all badness and deceit and hypocrisy and envy and backbiting and forming a longing for the unadulterated milk of the word ', 1 Pet 2:1), because even Christ suffered for you, leaving a model for you to follow his steps
closely".(1 Pet 2:21)
These "good works" requires that anyone who wants to follow in Jesus "footsteps" closely, that they go from "house to house" (Acts 5:42; 20:20) with the "good news of the Kingdom"(Matt 24:14), for that is exactly what Jesus did, telling his twelve apostles: "As you go, preach, saying: ' The Kingdom of the heavens has drawn near '......Into whatever city or village you enter,
search out who in it is deserving, and stay there until you leave (teaching responsive ones about God's Kingdom). When you
enter the house, greet the household. If the house is deserving, let the peace you wish it come upon you; but if is not deserving, let the peace from you return upon you".(Matt 10:7, 11-13)
These "good works" are also shown at Isaiah 2, which says: "In the final part of the days (or the time period that started with Jesus being crowned king of God's kingdom in 1914 [see Dan 7:13, 14 and Rev 6:2] and will end at Armageddon), the mountain of the house of Jehovah will become firmly established above the top of the mountains (mountains in the Bible often represent governments, see Jesus words at Luke 23, in which Jesus tells the women: "Daughters of Jerusalem.....weep instead for yourselves....Then they will start saying to the mountains (or political governments), ' Fall over us ! ' and to the hills (higher institutions that people look to), ' Cover us over ! ', Luke 23:28, 30)....and many.....will beat their swords into plowshares and spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, nor will they learn anymore".(Isa 2:2-4)
Those who have "good works" are "no part of the world" with its "divided house" of politics, remaining politically neutral.(John 15:19) They adhere to Jesus words to Pontius Pilate: "My Kingdom is no part of the world (with its divisive and hate filled politics, false religious practices and doctrine and greedy commerce that promotes love of money and self)".(John 18:36)
