It's never God's "desire that any should perish" (2Pet 3:9)--but that "all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth (1Tim 2:4). Though God knew most would choose evil (Mat 7:13, 14), He did it for those He knew would choose Him (Luke 15:7, 10). If even one results in such a heavenly affect, image a multitude (Rev 7:9), which are still few in comparison to the lost (many).Hi NC,
Verses like this one:
Ezekiel 30:23 "Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?"
. . . tell me that God doesn't want people to die in sin.
Good question, but it cannot be denied that God knew they would partake. He had to start at that point, and in that manner! Keep looking at His omniscience and it should become clearer. But what then do we make of God's statement to Adam, You shall not eat of the fruit of That Tree?
Blessings to your Family!
