Understood your comment was to mjrhealth...
But out of curiousity I looked up the word also..
Briefly found..
One who is against the law...
And a bit more specifically...against the Ten Commandments.
In Christianity, an antinomian is one who takes the principle of salvation by faith and divine grace to the point of asserting that the saved are not bound to follow the moral law contained in the Ten Commandments.
Kind of a funky meaning to me....
And really funky for you to make such a charge against another.
Morals are dictated by what is established as right and wrong.
Laws may or may not include a positive or negative (right/wrong) mandate.
Christ the Lord Jesus, gave us a summary of the 10 commandments on which ALL the laws of the Prophets hung and were acceptable.
And further, NO MAN can accomplish adherence to the 10 Commandments or the summary of TWO...
WITHOUT the POWER of thee Lord God Himself with/within the man.
Not once have I heard mjrhealth proclaim, to disregard or go against; Love above all things unto God, and Love toward all others.
So, that charge again, to me is funky.
If you glean through Scriptures you find, Gods Precepts...to which it benefits individual men to search those out, learn them, apply them....because they are about learning how to promote a favorable outcome when men deal with men.
As far as the TWO Commandments of the Ten Complied that Jesus spoke of...it is the Internal Power of the Lord God, that sustains the KEEPING of those Commands.....
Because really, without the Lords Power...and reacting to my own personal flesh thoughts...
I could easily open a can of OUT wit, and in days gone by OUT duel .... an enemy without a second thought.
However that was many moons ago and by my own election, I asked the Lord to step in and show me, give me the Power to settle differences without loathing another.
Glory to God,
Taken
