This is the exact reason I went back and spent almost three weeks on trying to answer these questions rather than just going by what I have been told to say over the years..
Did you come up with an answer to #25?

A few weeks ago, I posted a link to a book entitled "75 Questions Your Instructors Pray You will Never Ask," Mostly, the whole thing was dismissed as beneath the dignity of a "true Christian" to bother to respond to. (I also felt this way...… UNTIL I actually tried to answer some of them.)

I am posting just the questions (none of the book's answers) here to see if any of you run across the same dilemmas I did in trying to HONESTLY defend many of my doctrinal positions in replying to these questions.

Willie T, I have a reply format question. What would be the best way to respond? Meaning, make one reply and enter answers under the questions, or one question per reply? I'm a newbie, hence the question.

My avatar isn't Dirty Harry... But it's the same guy!
Same guy who was "the man with no name" or "the Stranger". Clint (in real life) is one of the very few good guys in Hollywood.

Anyway, why waste time on those Calvinistic questions when there are a lot of bad guys to round up?

Hi @Willie T,

I have copied your questions, to look at offline.

Thank you

Perhaps the book should be entitled '75 questions that if you cannot answer, or are unwilling to answer, you have no business being an instructor or teacher of the Bible to God's people'. I read all the questions. Many are just 'yes' or 'no' answers. Some require explanation. All are answerable.

Stranger
I dunno strange, I didn't see too many that weren't irrelevant, tbh. I mean unless you're reading Paul like Peter said.

Well, the way the Calvinist who wrote the book did it is one that I DO NOT approve of.

After asking each question, he displayed a usually fairly brief answer some Dispensationalist must have given, sort of "off the cuff"... then he replied to THAT question with his own much longer and deeper response.... which, of course, comes across sounding much more thoughtful and studied.

That method was a little disappointing in many respects, but that is how he chose to present it.

If you will pick one of the questions, I will post exactly what is in the book so you can see what I mean. (But, it will be awhile before I answer, since I have two doctor's appointments and a gym workout scheduled for this morning.)

"Yes, I did." But, as probably would be the case with most people's answers, there are "qualifications" as to how my answer relates to what, specifically, was intended to be asked by the wording "all men."

This is good up to a point. But the author is a "Christian Re-constructionist" (Think "Christian version of the Taliban or ISIS when pressed to the limit") SO he does not understand Law and Grace as it plays out in the NT.

I consider you smart, but actually, in holding to the typical unresearched view here, you are WAY off base on this.

Study Gary North the author. And "Christian Reconstruction-ism" These people are way off their rockers. But most of the questions I can answer confidently.

As I said, "unresearched." Reading things by detractors is far from "researching." I don't agree with a lot of their ideas... and Gary North is a pompous ass and totally arrogant in a lot of ways, but they are probably closer to pleasing God than most of us would ever believe.

In truth, much of the book WARNS college students to keep their mouths shut, so that the school administration doesn't expel them just for possessing a copy of this small book.

I think the Postmillennial Calvinists (including North and the extreme fringe) are off along with all other millennial theories. Only Amillennialism is true to scripture.
