The gifts of the spirit are heavily debated. Just look at the tongues issue on this forum.
To me the one most people get wrong is discernment of spirits.
Simply put, they think it is some kind of lie detector. But it is not.

What makes it worse today About belief in gifts are the two extremes. One extreme is different forms of Pentecostal. The other is the denial gifts are given today.
There is a real lack of biblical knowledge and understanding.
So don't go out looking for someone with the better gifts, as the Bible calls them. They have learned not to talk about it.
