But let's all just take a moment and tell one thing we're thankful for. I'll start.

I'm thankful that spiders don't fly.

If you can think of something you wish for, add that too.

I wish liars pants really DID catch fire. That'd be nice.

Also tell one thing you find very disconcerting.

Sometimes I open my mouth and my mother comes out...

So...you lamented not truly getting to know people so I let you know a little about myself, even what I like to do when I'm feeling low, which is actually a very private thing, and I let you see that I like creative humor and lighthearted jesting. The result was that you logged off. That went well...
It's okay, I'm back now. So what next?

Okay then, I'm going to clean my room. It was clean yesterday but then I had to decide what to wear. I thought I'd d just wait it out and see if the cleaning fairy would show up but she might procrastinate FOREVER.

Oh...funny thing. I googled Google maps. I can see why it could be disconcerting. I viewed the terrain thingy and saw that my car was parked really crooked. Like, my neighbors can see it, but now the whole WORLD can see im parked crooked if they know my address...?! Its embarrassing.

I went out to repark my car but it appears that its not a current picture because my car is the only one parked there, everyone else has a job. But the pic is showing 4 cars parked there. You'd think they'd update the pictures so people would park more carefully...

Also, moms car wasn't in the driveway in the picture. I almost panicked and hit the "report a problem at this location" button to let them know her car had been stolen, but when I went outside her car WAS there. By the way, she's parked really crooked.

I think God is more like a man who walks around until he finds an animal with its paw snapped shut in a trap. He makes a move toward freeing the hurt animal but when it snarls and snaps at him, he sits down and waits until it wears itself out trying to escape. Then when it's laying there too exhausted to care to ward off anyone trying to touch it, he depresses the trap and bandages its foot.

Good analogy!

Um, "like" with reservations lol, I don't claim to no longer be deceived, I'm still a monster I guess, still get ego-flares, etc
Oh but absolutely... not with regard to you but also and especially to me! People may pat me on the back when God is using me via the right hand, but then up pops my ego still in the running following or leading in or for the "left" hand of God. Back on my knees again. The good thing is that the end is not yet. I and you also still have time. When there is "time no longer" and our heart is on the wrong side...Look out!

Depends if you're a good monster or evil monster. Good monsters do nothing but attack people with their views of goodness, where as the evil monsters attack people who think they're good. It's one whole monster war going on, and I'm not buying into it.
But then as God led Solomon to write:

"Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:
She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table." Prov 9:1-2

When all of our beasts are dead [if ever!?] then we will final and complete overcomers of the world as was Jesus. Will we ever make it? If we are going it alone most certainly not.

"And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?
And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

Mark 10:26-27

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." John 16:33

"He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God." Rev 2:7

So strange as it sounds to the religious mindset, it is truthfulness that God wants and approves of, not perfection of behavior.
Is not the "perfection of behavior" that will be the ultimate result when we walk approved of and with God? This is again that impossible for man thing, but certainly possible for God.

Yes, I guess that's how the false teachers getcha, they have read the Bible, they mix truth with falsehood. It isn't purposeful deception, though, Meiers wouldn't see herself as a false teacher, neither does Hinn or any of that genre.
Yes, again we are into the realm of delusion. One little sidestep and then without realizing it our whole walk with God is askew! The Love is the key rather than this doctrine or that one.

Amen, imo David was the apple of God's eye bc he could confess and rebound, not bc he was "perfect"
You have moved closer in your words to what I believe perfection really is to God. Men get it wrong because they strive to approach what they [men] have defined perfection to be. Remember who our Director should be:

"O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps." Jerem 10:23

"O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!" Psalm 119:5
