Hi Jane Doe,

This is sometimes something people either consciously or not do to divert a debate away from having to make an actual rebuttal to an assertion. And if often works, if people aren't paying attention.

Much love!

I am aware.

I just wish that people would be willing to have PRODUCTIVE conversations where we actually talk about point X, listen to each other, and respond to each other. Rather than wasting time responding to imagined points or resorting to personal insults.

Yes, I'm aware that my wish seldom actually happens on social media.

Simple...TOO simple for some. Anybody can have the Free gift He offers. It would be an insult to the Creator if we brushed His hand away. Free will actually brings God MORE Glory! He is able to make good out of bad for those who love Him (Christians) and are called according to His purpose (His purpose is that we Love, believe on and trust Jesus Christ) Paraphrase of Romans 8:28. It brings Him more Glory in the fact that His atonement was so powerful that His blood covered ALL people of ALL time...how can one limit His Atonement?? God sees all things that have not even happened yet from beginning of time to the end. Is He not powerful and Good enough to offer salvation to ALL people?
Love your bullying ref.#2 :D
Praise God somebody agrees with me :) No greater insult than for any of us to deny His right to rule over us which right is His by BOTH creation AND redemption.

Dead guys cannot move.
Are you saying there's the:
  1. spiritually dead dead guy
  2. spiritually alive dead guy
  3. spiritually alive alive guy
Because Scripture only recognizes 1 and 3

That's really why I bring it up. I find I end up wasting so much time and energy trying to uphold discussions with peolpe who sidetrack into all these different directions rather than staying on point.

I think I'm tilting at windmills! Nice to know I'm not the only one!

:)

How important is truth to you?

Dead people cannot receive gifts.
That's kinda silly. Spiritually dead folks exchange gifts every year at Christmas. Even my atheist friend gives presents to his family.

Extremely. It's important to understand:
1) God's ultimate Truth (an no, God Himself is not a poster on this board)
2) The truth about what I believe.
3) The truth about what person X believes.

Which is one of the reasons why these constant windmills annoy me. So many people only care about what they themselves believe and don't care to actually listen to what other people believe and have productive conversations.

Is that a trick question?

How important is truth to you?

Jesus said that Truth sets us free. But how much do we want freedom?

Slaves being set free are sometimes afraid of the boundless freedom they receive.

Much love!

If you love the truth, defend it.

But not on the spiritual plane where God is.
Says who? Are you limiting the power of God to speak to the spiritual dead who are yet living when He spoke to Lazarus who had ceased to exist altogether in the grave?

Except for the fact that none of the verses say "all" and instead say "many".

I once (at a time in which I believed in Calvinism) quoted 1 Timothy 2:6 wrong by saying that it said, "He gave Himself a ransom for many."

But that is not what it says. It actually says,

1Ti 2:6, Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

If you were a first century Jew, salvation was only of the Jews until the promise to Abraham included all men. = Gentiles too.
