John 8:29 (NASB)
"And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him."

“not left me alone”

These four words are written to all that would be willing to stand for and with Christ in this world. Against all the onslaught of all that would stand against.

“not left me alone”

meaning that regardless of what the situation might be, He is always with the believer who does the one qualifying thing that the scripture states;

“always does His will”

Wait! How can sinful man ever do all His will?

What is His will to fallen man?

“Come unto me all ye that are heavy laden and I will give you rest”

This is the will of God to fallen man, “come onto me.”

So if we plug “come unto me” into the “I always do what pleases Him”, we have.

“He never leaves me alone, because I always come unto Him”

Such words of comfort when things go against what the life of self would have.

Such words of comfort when the storms of life prevail on the believer’s heart.

Such comfort of truth to the rest of the heart that would always come onto Jesus.

Such words of comfort to know one is never left alone, even if all people think that you are. You never are, as one who is called by Him that has died for them.

Blessings to all that have tasted of the reality of Christ in them their hope of glory.

Blessings,

Much love in Christ, Not me

The context of the words in John 8 is the fact that the Father is with the Son. The blessing to us flows from being in Christ. Those words in Matthew 11 are indeed of great comfort to the believer.

". . . for he has promised, I will never leave you nor forsake you", nor would he ever forsake His children.

I've been thinking about that, where Jesus told the disciples that though they would leave Him alone, yet He was not alone, for the Father was with Him.

The Father was with Jesus in such a way that when the men that were living side by side with Jesus left, Jesus still wasn't alone, because the Father was with Jesus.

How real is God?

How real, and personal, in my relationship with God?

Do I see myself alone? Do I see myself with my Father? Constant companion?

We're never alone, we who are His children. Spirit children of God living in fallen bodies of the Adamic creation. Living in our spiritual eternal life waiting for the physical to catch up. But living in the spiritual realm just the same.

Much love!
Mark

Yes, such an awesome truth. All God has is Christ’s. Than we, by virtue of being joined with Christ, have access to all the blessings of Heaven. Oh to have our eyes opened to understand this truth.

Blessings as God works these truths in us.

Very poor understanding of what the scripture is saying.

Jesus is talking about his relationship with God and not about his relationship with us.
Verses should always be read in context and not wrenched out of context to be twisted into meaning what ever we want them to mean.

Especialy as there are lots of verses that say what you are saying.

Hello,

The context of the verse is;

God never forsaking the Son because the Son always does what pleases the Father.

Are there any truths we can glean from that?

Because the Son pleased the Father, and the Father imputes that to us, the Father never will forsake us who have been born His children, our benefit from Jesus' sacrifice.

And being so born, and being so unforsaken, we can go on to do what pleases the Father, in the power of His Son, Who still, even today, always does what pleases the Father. And Never forsakes us.

Well, I brought in some other verses there too.

Much love!

Such a pleasure to taste one’s relationship with Christ, you’ve blessed me Mark.

The more truths the better, for scripture says;

“in His light do we see light”

For growing in Christ is such a blessed life. That today, we might know Jesus a little more than yesterday and tomorrow a little more than today.

Blessings to all that are feeding their personal relationships with Christ, that they might be pleasing to Him in all things.

Of course there are truths to be found there, just not what you are promoting.

As long as this is what your personal relationship with Christ is teaching you, I will say no more and leave you to your relationship with Him and wish you well.
