Galatians 3
19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

To whom does this apply? Who is "crucified with Christ"?

Much love!

Romans 6:3-4
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

.
Seeing as how the Bible speaks of only two deaths, then Paul's first death
via his association with Jesus' crucifixion left him with only one death to go
when he penned the letter to the Galatians.

All those that are born in Adam. For one can not be born again till they have died first. This is what our salvation in Christ consists of. Christ having taken us to death with Him on the cross. So that all that was born of Adam might be given over to death, so that a new life might be born in those that where willing to reckon it so.

This is how Christ became the fulfillment of the law. For the law says; “the soul that sins that soul shall die”. By taking us to death with Him, Christ became the fulfillment of the law to all those that would believe.

Blessings,

Much love in Christ, Not me

Hi Not me,

Thank you for your response!

Let me ask you another question if I may.

What is your understanding of Roman 5, where it speaks of "justification of life"?

Thank you!
Much love!

Romans 5:18 (NASB)
So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all men.

I can only surmise it means now, God, because of Christ’s act of righteousness, God can be justified in giving life to all men.

Your thoughts??

LOL!

That's why I wanted to ask you! This is as well worded my thought as I can think of. It's how it is that men don't just die when they sin. But like you said, I can only surmise! Good answer.

All who are "in" Christ, both the dead (meaning Israel) and the living (those born again of the spirit of God).

As with you, I concern myself with my one and one personal relationship with Christ, knowing that making myself 100% obedient to Him, is the greatest gift of love I can give anybody and everybody.
