It means you're still alive.
Amen...and the older we become, and the closer to Him we become in maturity, the more we grow to be what He wants us to be. :) I do not at all mind aging, just means I'm closer to Him. ♥

Many things I don't like but tolerate quietly trying not to be openly critical. Fortunately I don't have to concern myself about a spouse again.

I never insisted on such things on part of my wife. She did not use cosmetics including lipstick when we met but her hair was short. She asked me what I liked and grew the long hair for me. That has never changed. After 47 years neither of us has plans to change.

I never insisted on such things on part of my wife. She did not use cosmetics including lipstick when we met but her hair was short. She asked me what I liked and grew the long hair for me. That has never changed. After 47 years neither of us has plans to change.
This is how to get along well.
Each one should do what the other likes.
Arguments will ensue anyway....
but the foundation will always remain strong.

The selfish need not apply...

Aw, that was so sweet of her to do :) So many men out there, including Christian men, make not so nice comments about their wives if they gain too much weight, or don't dress a certain way, or wear makeup. And even those men who themselves are overweight!!!?? Glad you aren't like them John.

We like most everyone else have had our rough times but since we started serving God [1976] there has never been any danger of separation. Now and again we still have little rough places with words, usually because one or the other is in physical pain or some other such causing a loss of patience, but they have always been short and soon gone with apologies made from both sides.
