Hi Jenniferdiana,

This reminds me . . . "those he did forenow he also did predestinate". I'm not surprised you felt His touch in your life even before rebirth. I see the same in mine.

Much love!
And scripture says no man cometh to the Father except that the Holy Spirit draws them.....

Why. people read the bible and all come up with a different Jesus..

Unsaved people have been blinded to the truth by Satan. That is why they misinterpret the Bible. God my use something other than the Bible to lead a person to salvation, but if a person who is saved will come to believe the Bible and use it to guide his life.

and ye there we have"saved" christians arguing over there interpretation of the bible. God is supposed to give us His Spirit, so by Him we will have the truth, but He as always ignored and put in second place. And so we se what mans ignorance brings, division and arguing over who is right.

I think you have a real misunderstanding on the role of the Spirit.

No, He was given to us, God never gave us the bible, he just isnt that foolish.

As you can see what happens when He is left out, so much ignorance.

Except he did...
No for you see even Jesus said" in your bible",

Joh_14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you

of whom God gives to those who come.

Joh_16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Man gave you that bible, the evidence is all over these and other christian forums,

2Ti 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2Ti 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
2Ti 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
2Ti 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Ti 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

1Jn 5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
1Jn 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
1Jn 5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

I think many take on themselves to teach when God has neither gifted nor desired they would be the teachers.

God help me if I'm not, and if I'm wrong, as teachers Will be judged more strictly. I simply look for His mercy, knowing He loves me, and already gave Himself for me, but even still, this judgment is nonetheless real.

God does give us His Spirit. I for instance do not have the gift of administration. I manage a small company for absentee owners, it all goes pretty well. But every month running the church potluck tells me that these abilities don't transfer into the church. Without all the help I get, let's just say, I know that's not my gift.

Let's say I say, I run the company I work at, so by gum I'm going to do this potluck thing my way, I already know what happens. It all falls apart. But I know some have gifts of helps and serving and administration, and I need to just trust God for it all to happen.

On a forum I feel that the best approach is of mutual exploration with an open mind but diligent to stay true to every word of Scripture.

I think that the real base for learning the Word is in a regular fellowship, where you can come to know those who are there, and I think believers will see those who have gifts to teach, and encourage, and the rest, and in this way the Holy Spirit brings us to teachers who will give us things we need, and even if there are things in their teaching we may disagree over.

I mentioned on another thread, something like contending but without contention, as we each seek to uphold our views. I'd say so long as I actually do want to embrace correction when it comes to me.

The sooner we can adopt a more correct understanding, the closer we are to the life we want to live.

Much love!

The more time people spend time with Christ the better it will be, but what can one do, when the bible has become Jesus to so many. I will have no other Gods before me, continually comes to mind.

Exo 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Exo 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

Do you feel you do?? I never said "you" did..

but

Mat 13:45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
Mat 13:46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

who is that Pearl, Christ

and again

Mat 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
Mat 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
Mat 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

how many on this forum speak of Christ??

The only way we can spend time with Christ is by studying the Bible. If we try to get to know him apart from the Bible we run the risk of being deceived by evil spirits. The Bible says that Satan can appear to be an angel of light. The spirits of deception who serve him can begin by agreeing with what Christ said but over time they can introduce false beliefs that will gradually lead us away from truly following Christ. The only way false beliefs can be detected is by knowing the Bible and using it to test the truth of whatever we are taught.

Well there is prayer too, but you wouldn't know how to do that without the Bible either.

The Bible says that Satan can appear to be an angel of light.
Yeah we see that on this forum....OFTEN.

Which he has done since the beginning...."hath God said?"
