Since President Trump has been Impeached by the House, correct me if I am wrong, he can actually be President for not the next 4 years, but the next 8 years? Because of some impeachment clause?

But here is some Awesome News!! I told my wife, who is a Principal, at a Public School. Prayer will be coming back to all Schools in the US. I do love what Trump is doing in allowing prayer back in Public Schools! Amazing things happening. Jesus Christ is Sovereign and totally in control of what's going on in our world! :)

It's not about teaching prayer in schools. When I was in High School, before every football/basketball game, we PRAYED THE LORD'S PRAYER! No one was teaching me.....my Church and Parents did that! At school we didn't get taught, we just praised his name.....JESUS CHRIST!

I prayed the Lord's Prayer too as a child every day in school, and it meant nothing to me. It was vain repetition. I didn't mean it. I was just obeying orders. It was trivializing something that should be treated with reverence.

We are all already free to pray whenever and where ever we want. We are free -- to pray silently. That doesn't seem to be enough for some people who want to pray in a way that other people can see them praying.

I am aware of no such clause, the 22nd amendment prevents the president from serving more than 8 years. While it is possible for a president to serve 10 years if they were a VP who took over for the previous president mid-term that doesn't apply here.

The whole impeachment proceeding is merely bluster from the Dems. It means nothing unless he is convicted in the Republican controlled Senate by a 2/3 majority. So not likely.

However I am concerned about a potential betrayal by the Republicans.

The government isn't paying for you to go to a restaurant. The question is if we want government involved in religion. I also think children are allowed to pray at meals already. What Trump did doesn't change much. It looks like PR to me, trying to get Christians to vote for him.

I'm curious though why you don't give thanks after you ate? I was just discussing this with a friend who said he sometimes forgot to pray before eating. I said not to worry since Israel was told to after they ate.

1. You are the accused even though you have committed no crime.
2. Your enemies bring false charges against you and no one stops their nonsense.
3. Your enemies bring false witnesses to support these bogus charges, and again no one stops them.
4. The case goes to criminal court because the prosecutor refuses to throw out all the so-called "evidence".
5. Your lawyer for the defense exposes all the bogus charges for what they are -- a total sham.
6. The judge dismisses the case and holds the prosecutor, as well as the accusers in contempt of court, and they are all locked up instead of you.

This is how the impeachment Kangaroo Court should be dealt with. “I hope in the Senate that we will have justice and a fair trial, whatever that might be,” he said. “Let me be real clear about something involving the United States Constitution. The Constitution does not allow Congress to lightly trash the votes of the people who have elected a president of the United States. So, the framers of the Constitution set a high bar. It has to be treason. It has to be bribery, and it can’t just be any crime or misdemeanor. It has to be what’s called a high crime or misdemeanor, and what does the word high mean under these circumstances?”

“It means the betrayal of the United States of America in favor of a foreign power,” Brooks continued. “If you look at the Articles of Impeachment, they have failed to make out a case for that Constitutional requirement, and as such, it ought to be dismissed. But, maybe they’ll go past the dismissal stage and have an actual trial with witnesses. I’ll defer to the good judgment of my Senate colleagues, but quite clearly, what the Democrats are doing is a sham and is an effort to trash over 60 million votes. That’s wrong.”

The Alabama Republican labeled impeachment as an “effort to defraud the American people,” and urged voters to react appropriately in the 2020 elections.

Who's the traitor here? Who abused the powers of his office trying to strong-arm a foreign leader to help him dig up dirt on a political opponent? You want a President who likes foreign interference in our elections? And the GAO just ruled Trump's withholding of that money was a crime. It was. Both houses of Congress had voted to give it to Ukraine, and the law says it has to be spent. Trump broke that law, trying to get what he wanted from Ukraine before giving them the money. When the news was breaking about it, then he realized he'd better give them money so he did.
