There are those, churches, but others are different too.

Using mine for example: >99% of the men are ordained priest, serving in different roles. Everyone is unpaid, and roles change with time. There's structure, but one role is not "better" than another: you can be in charge of organizing a congregation of 300 people, and then the next day be in the Assistant Nursery Teacher. Likewise with the ladies. God Himself is ultimately in charge, people just helping out in a somewhat organized fashion.
Sounds good. But we do not need ordained priests. Jesus is our high priest.

A human priest never replaces Christ. And a Christian is supposed to have human company on this journey, to support, fellowship, and minister to them.

Can't argue with that. Let the Holy Spirit be our guide in all things and we won't go wrong.

Yes. owever, I don't think human preists are bad. Rather, I do believe that they are important helpers (flawed servants of the Master).

Perhaps for the unsaved but I myself, like all those born again, have direct access to the Father's throne.

Even for the most experienced Christians, fellowship & support is still important. That's why there is a physical church rather than just a bunch of islands.

Absolutely. But my church doesn't have an ordained priest or minister but our leader owns a pet shop. Many of us once belonged to traditional denominations such as Church of England, Catholic, Methodist, Pentecostal, Salvation Army and even JWs. Our aim is to live as those first Christians did without rituals and man made rules. And it is lovely to be so free and just accepted for who you are without having to fit into a certain pattern. During our meetings we are all encouraged to share the things that God has been doing or laid upon our hearts. And as I've said we share the administering of bread and wine and I really enjoyed baptising my friend when she came to Jesus. If you came to one of our meetings you might not be able to tell who was our leader as nobody is more important than anybody else.

My current ordained bishop is a ... ok I don't remember his day job. The last was a press person. The one before that an accountant, etc.
No body is more important than another, but structure is still there.

So what sort of church do you belong to? We don't have bishops or any form of hierarchy. We answer to each other and the leader answers to us.

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, nicknamed "LDS" or "Mormons".

From talking to some of the missionaries that come to our town it seems like you have a lot of rules.

Missionaries do, which are mostly there because ... well, young people can be really dumb sometimes (sorry, but to call it how it is).

Everyone else: not really. I don't drink, but frankly i don't feel like i'm missing out (I can look stupid all on my own thank you!)

Do all young men have to spend time as missionaries?

LDS founder Smith was tricked by Satan masquerading as Moronic.
LDS is part of Babylon the Great.
Come out of it or else suffer the same fate as all Babylon.

Correct...I was talking about how it did start with the Reformation like I believe it did when I said: "it is approx 500 years old not 2,000."
Perhaps I am misunderstanding you soooo I would like to clarify.

You are saying that
Thank you for confirming once again that it turning into blood and flesh is all bull.
How is it "all bull"??

Jesus did it at the Last Supper. ;)

Xrose, I go where Christ commands me, not where any man says.

If you want to listen to what I believe and sort things out, feel free to send me a PM.

You have me totally confused. I would like to clarify:

You told me I was "Wrong" when I said (in summary) that the teaching/practice of wine/bread turning into blood/body, known as the Real Presence, has been taught for 2,000 years. Your "evidence" of me being wrong was that "The reformation began with Martin Luther's 95 theses." You then said that means the teaching "is approx 500 years old not 2,000."

I am trying to figure out if you believe the Real Presence teaching started with Luther and not 2,000 years ago? Or are we just miscommunicating with each other?

Respectfully Mary

Apart from your last sentence being offensive, every time I took communion, I was in a catholic church so they must be the wrong church.
Asking if your faith is not as strong as the NT Christians is "offensive"??? o_O

Scripture and historical Christian writings make it clear that the NT Christians BELIEVED and had FAITH in the teaching that communion was in FACT His body and blood just like He said it was at the Last Supper and Paul later affirmed in Corinthians when he asked RETORICALLY The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ?

OBVIOUSLY their faith was stronger than yours because they, and the Catholic Church, BELIEVE and PRACTICE what Jesus and Paul said/taught....You don't. :(

Do you not take communion anymore since you left The Church?
