homosexuality, incest, pedophilia, zoophilia, necrophilia are forbidden, the sex must be done only between spouses, you can break up with your wife only if she committed adultery. God says: be fruitful and multiply. he doesn't say: make sex, he doesn't say: make love. the purpose of sex must be procreation. nevertheless, paul says to do your duty as a husband, to not fall into temptation, but he also says this: abstinence is the right way. bible quotes:
16 And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife. (Exodus 22:16)
10 And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death. (Leviticus 20:10)
28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. (Matthew 5:28)
32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. (Matthew 5:32)
22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. (Leviticus 18:22)
God says this:
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. (Genesis 1:28)
paul says this:
7 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.
2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.
4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.
5 Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.
6 But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment. (1Corinthians 7:1-6)
A man can always go the route Daniel was forced to go ie, get rid of the dangly bits.

One day long ago I had a revelation about Jesus and it was this. Why do you think that Jesus never sinned? The Lord showed me that it was because he had a perfect relationship with his Father.

Some so-called Christians do not even have a relationship with the Father. They have a relationship with their church or their minister in the broadest sense or with their denomination or with the ritual of their church or even with the bible but they do not have a relationship with the Father.

I don't know how many times I have heard Christians say God doesn't talk to me. If he is your father, how can he not talk to you? If you can't find God guessed who moved?

Everything that you are, do and think is dependant on your relationship with God, through Jesus his son by the power of the Holy Spirit. If God doesn't talk to you then I suggest you give back the salvation you have and get a better version of it. I don't know how I would survive if God didn't talk to me.

The scripture talks about being perfected and sanctified. How does this happen? By listening to the boss and doing what he says. Your relationship with the Father will determine how much and how quickly you grow. Without it, you are toast as a friend of mine says.

There is probably no greater subject in our whole lives than sexual identity and how biology and desire dominates our lives, our every waking moment. We are the creation of sex, we are moulded by our genetics and the personalities of our parents and the environment we grow up in, and our sexual desires, our inspiration, our bonding to another founds our life and its central direction.

Except following the Lord, marriage changes everything, and can cause an abrupt tragedy or a great wonder when children arrive. Going from being single with a possible future to a definite future bounded by work, children and accomodation over just 2 or 3 years is the most life changing experience one can have. Strangers become one. And this is just part of ones life, of which a sexual sharing is a part, almost hidden, a privilege but also a complex sharing.

Now for sex to be part of this shift, no wonder there are so many distortions and sins associated with it. Unfortunately it is so involved and innate forums can only touch on the issues, and not the healing or answers.

Perhaps I wasn't clear. (Sorry if this goes against your deleted post, Rita... I never saw it.)
"Faulty Thinking" about ANYTHING — Religion, Honor, Appearance, Food, Sex... anything... almost any kind of 'taboo' we create to enshroud or enshrine an action or emotion with — is the very basis of almost all our mental illnesses.
And to think that men and women weren't designed, both physically and emotionally to be desirable to one another for pleasure far beyond the mere transferance of seminal fluids to induce procreation, is just begging to have your mind filled with very Faulty Thinking.

1 Corinthians 7:1-40
"Now concerning the matters about which you wrote: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control..."

Sex is just another gift He gives to some, most, to be used in the way He commands. Just like all of the other gifts He gives. And yes Willie, "faulty thinking" is the result of taking things way too far one way or the other. Balance within the perimeters that He set for us. Sex between a husband and a wife is approved by God even if the woman is barren or the man is in-fertile so, how can someone say it is solely for pro-creation?

Like everything else God gave us, sex isn't the problem. Distortion of God's will for sex is the problem. This is true with almost every sin if you think about it.

I know a great Dentist in Vietnam (a woman) if you need a recommendation. She usually works with children. As she was working on mine some years ago I noticed a large scar on her upper lip and asked her what it was from. She told me of a motorcycle accident (thousands ride motorcycles there) smashed all her front teeth. She said she did the repairs herself in a mirror. I was shocked and asked to have a look at her teeth. She showed me.....what a fantastic job she had done.
The work she did on me was extensive and came up excellent with no problems since.....and at a fraction of the price they charge here in Oz.
