"spirit" is what makes YOU - you besides the physical part. So it your "being". The Father in Heaven's BEING is the Holy Spirit. That is HIS Spirit - in fact He is Spirit. So it is His complete Being. The Son possessed Flesh but that flesh was filled with the Spirit of the Father in Heaven.

So there is the Father, the Son, and the Spirit but the Spirit is not a separate person. It IS the person of God Himself.

Consider the type -
In the beginning was the Rib, and the Rib was with Adam and the Rib was Adam. You see Eve was made from the flesh of Adam. They are one flesh just as children we receive flesh from our parents. The flesh is a type of the Spirit.

When you are saved, your BEING is replaced by His BEING. That is why we are dead if we are saved. Because we would no longer exist as our evil spirit has been displaced by God's Spirit.

thanks for the reply, correct, it is the Spirit that make us who we are, or the LIVING Soul. for a body without the spirit is "dead". but not the Spirit.

Its interesting that the angel did not tell John to worship Jesus...he told him to 'worship God'

Rev 19:9 And he tells me, “Write: Happy are those invited to the evening meal of the Lamb’s marriage.” Also, he tells me: “These are the true sayings of God.” 10 At that I fell down before his feet to worship him. But he tells me: “Be careful! Do not do that! I am only a fellow slave of you and of your brothers who have the work of witnessing concerning Jesus. Worship God! For the witness concerning Jesus is what inspires prophecy.”

The Angel differentiates between Jesus and God. The trinity idea does not. Notice how the Angels says he is "a fellow slave of john and has the work of witnessing concerning Jesus. Worship God!"

Why does the angle not say, Worship Jesus?

You may want to look again. The angel did tell John to worship God. BUT the angel did not make the distinction you are claiming (at least not in Scripture).

Now, why not a trinity?

God is one, and the title of this one God is "Holy" and he is Spirit.... hence "Holy Spirit". and this one Spirit is what we call "GOD", and this ONE God name is "JESUS", hebrew "Yeshua".

this one God is the "Diversity", or the Offspring of himself in flesh. this is the mystery many struggle with.

God is "Spirit", and this "Spirit" shared himself in flesh... mystery cleared up.

and the number 1 scripture that many trinity believers states at a beginning is,
Genesis 1:26 "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."

so CharismaticLady, is this a trinity or your trinty here in Genesis 1:26 yes or no?

I think you are reading into the text what is not there. Jesus never refused worship. In other words, he was God.....if he wasn't he would have been a charlatan by accepting worship.

When the angel says 'worship God' he is not discounting Jesus as is clear from Rev. 22:13 where Jesus says ' I am the Alfa and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.'

I disagree, Jesus isn't saying, "I am the Alfa and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the first and the last," Jehovah God is.
