5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
7 Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? if any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's. - 2 Corinthians 10:5-7.
Can you imagine what the world would be like if every born again believer could live what they know or act out in total obedience to what is written. If the birthed of God could live their life in obedience to what it is the Holyspirit is teaching them. You know we were not left here with no knowledge of what it is our father wants. The scriptures are the guiding light for your complete obedience to your father. Did you know that your father did not leave you in a world full of death and disease with no knowledge of what he is doing. At least it is written whether you know it or not. The scriptures will be a light for your feet as you walk this path of life.
Have you ever ran across people that have seemingly tore out the pages of the Palm's and the Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, from their bible. The believer should keep their attention to these glorious books because they have the human being in total obedience to what is written in them. They admonish all that read them to obey them as they are written. As a young believer I was taught the written scriptures are everything. God bless those teachers because it has been proven time and again they were right. When I run across those that have a certain disdain for the scriptures I am grieved by it. It is heart rendering to witness those that dought the written word of God. The word of God will always point the way as you trust them.
The Holyspirit makes them real to you, just because my life can hinder what the Spirit is doing and teaching me does not change the fact it is him alone that is my teacher. By the written scriptures I am instructed to understand what my life is and by the Holyspirit I understand. What does it say in the written scriptures "above all get understanding." You can live without money and even food for a while but you cannot live without understanding. Understanding is the Holyspirit taking you by the hand and leading you, He is the paraclete or one that goes beside. Once you see in the scriptures! you understand what it is your father is doing and allow the Holyspirit to teach you. Most would say I am lead by the Holyspirit but they cannot see into the scriptures. The Holyspirit makes the scriptures breathe and have life. Glory to God.
Paul gave instruction to "be filled with the Holyspirit," it is a daily filling. The ultimate of the written scriptures is life and seeing who your life is, the scriptures are a revealer of your life. Jesus is the living Word and that living word is your life you have no other life but Jesus Christ the Son of the living God. The scriptures depict who Jesus is. You want to imitate Jesus get into the scriptures for they testify of him, learn him. He is in you now so you will need to see how the scriptures portray your life. Bless you.
