Now that Kanye West is running for president too, is there any possible chance he could win it?

And is he a better option than Trump and Biden? Or not really?
He could win the Presidential swimsuit contest. :)

If he's running, he'd better start filing the paperwork. It's a joke, a gimmick to promote his new album. He said God backs him? Maybe God forgot to tell him about the paperwork. ;)

While I like Kanye West, there is something wrong with his mind, something very wrong. I think maybe he did hallucinogens that affected him permanently.

Just about a week ago, Kanye got 2% in his first presidential poll.

People sometimes tell pollsters they'll vote for third party candidates when they don't like the Democrat or Republican. When it comes time to vote though, they figure voting the third party guy would be wasting their vote so they vote for the lesser of two evils.

That poll was interesting since it suggests West running would hurt Trump. First they asked people, without using names, who they planned on voting for. Then they asked if West was on the ticket who they'd vote for. Biden stayed at 48%, Trump went down from 40% to 39%, and the Libertarian went down from 2% to 1%.

The FEC knows only that someone named Kanye Deez Nutz West announced he's running. No paperwork has been filed anywhere.

WEST, KANYE DEEZ NUTZ - Candidate overview - FEC.gov

The "Deez Nutz" may be a clue it's a prank since a 15 year old kid from Iowa ran under that moniker last time. He got 9% in one poll. :) He also filed paperwork.

I notice he took support from Trump, not Biden. So that kinda makes the whole thing pointless.

It is extremely unfortunate that Mr. Trump has sabotaged himself at every turn, and also allowed himself to be sabotaged by Fauci and his gangsters, as well as the Deep State operatives who are still in power. Had he seriously gone after all the traitors in the USA and had them all locked up by now (including the Bidens), he would have been guaranteed a win in this election. Now it is looking doubtful.

People should note carefully that (1) polls will make no difference just as they made none in the last election and (2) votes will make no difference either. The Democrats and their co-conspirators have already said that they are bound and determined TO STEAL THE ELECTION. And even though this has been known ever since Trump was elected, to the best of my knowledge he has done little or nothing to ensure that voter fraud is completely stopped before it happens. An independent federal commission should have been set up in 2017 to carefully scrutinize the manipulation and corruption of the elections, and clean up the voter rolls (which even had a dead cat on one of them, and many other dead people).

Also, nobody has come right out and said that poor old Joe Biden is a mere figurehead to get the foot of the Democrats in the door. The goal is to put an (1) evil, (2) black, (3) Communist, (4) woman in the White House, who is dedicated to the tearing down of America and the shredding of the Constitution. (If she is a real witch, so much the better, since the Democrats have been using witches and wizards against Trump since he became president). Satan wants to control the WH.

She will be the VP for Biden, and immediately after he is inaugurated, there will be a *fatal accident* and Biden will become history. Biden has committed himself to the Marxist agenda of Communist Bernie Sanders, so that is already the goal of the Democrats. And once this poor, senile, incompetent is *vanished*, freedom in America will be banished.

Something is the matter with Kanye West mentally. He thinks that running for president is a lark. Birthday Party banner? Fictional country of Wakanda? First he announces his candidacy after failing to meet the necessary deadlines, then he withdraw himself, then he comes back with a lark. Looks like Malarky.

"He’s certainly launching his campaign in an unconventional manner. In a lengthy interview on July 8 with Forbes magazine, West revealed that he was running under the Birthday Party banner. He also said that he no longer supports President Trump; that Trump and the presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden should bow out of the race; that he’s never voted in his life; that he was sick with COVID-19 in February; and that his White House organization would be based on the fictional country of Wakanda, the setting of the movie “Black Panther.” He’s also begun seeking 10,000 signatures by a deadline of noon Monday to get him on South Carolina’s ballot.

This is interesting. John Kasich may be speaking at the Democratic convention. I like Kasich. I voted for him in the primary in 2016 -- my last vote cast as a Republican. When I had a tv and cable, I used to see him sometimes on the floor of the House giving speeches and liked what he said. I liked how he ran Ohio too as goverrnor. It wouldn't surprise me if Biden gave him a cabinet- level position.

Ex-Gov. John Kasich slated to speak at the Democratic National Convention for Joe Biden

John Kasich, the Republican ex-governor of Ohio turned critic of President Donald Trump, is expected to speak at the Democratic National Convention next month in support of Joe Biden, according to the Associated Press.

It’s a move that would be unthinkable just a few years ago, when, as governor, Kasich clashed with Democrats on a range of issues, from abortion to collective bargaining for public employees.

That could wrap up Ohio for Biden. Biden had a tiny lead in the last two polls. Kasich endorsing Biden should help. I'd be hoping Biden had Kasich as his VP, but he's already said it's going to be a woman. Kasich would be splendid at OMB or some other spot where he could curb wasteful spending.

I've always liked Kasich's good sense, Giuliano, and I think that Biden would offer him a cabinet-level position. I'm tired of the glitter and flash of the usual politicians. I prefer the type that have the humdrum common sense.

This speech shows how much the Republican Party has left many of its members behind it. The Alt Right only divides and fails to unite.

Kaisch would be splendid at OMB. He would also be great as Secretary of State or even Secretary of Defense.

I think Kasich is very much interested in practical results. He has his principles, but they are real and he wants to implement them. I cannot say for sure he never tells lies; but I can say in all the years I've followed him, I never caught him in one.

This speech shows how much the Republican Party has left many of its members behind it. The Alt Right only divides and fails to unite.
Even Ted Cruz who bowed down to Trump slavishly now seems worried about Texas going blue. Cornyn probably doesn't have to worry about his re-election; but the Republican Party still has a lot to worry about.

Story here: US Election 2020: 'It's over' if Democrats win Texas, says Cruz | Daily Mail Online

The site 538 is estimating Democrats will increase their number of seats in the House by 39. If they broke it down by state, I didn't see it; but my guess is Texas has a few Republican Congressmen about to be replaced by Democrats. How Trump and Abbott handled the virus and the economic problems has been a disaster and the people in Texas know it. Right wing media can try to spin it as much as they like; but the people in Texas know who's telling the truth and who's spinning things. Abbott, to his credit, has backtracked on some things; but he still has some 'splaining to do why he kowtowed to Trump instead of caring more about the people who elected him.
Kaisch would be splendid at OMB. He would also be great as Secretary of State or even Secretary of Defense.
It could happen since Biden is a fairly nonpartisan guy when Republicans are willing to cooperate. Having some Republicans in the cabinet might help heal the nation. I doubt if Condaleezza Rice would be interested in a government position again since she said once she did it only as a favor to Bush as a friend. I wonder if she could be talked into it again?

Interesting about Trump and Cruz in the 2016 Presidential election. Trump called Ted Cruz, "lying Ted Cruz". Trump claimed that Ted Cruz was an illegal alien and that his father was involved in the John Kennedy assassination.

If Ted Cruz is "lying Ted Cruz", can we trust him now? Or was Trump lying?

If Ted Cruz' father was involved in the John Kennedy assassination, why hasn't the Republican-controlled House, when it was in power, investigate him? Why isn't the current Republican-controlled Senate investigating him now? Maybe Ted Cruz' father donated money to the Trump campaign since then.

I don't think that Trump is an "anointed" leader, a christ. I only accept Jesus as Christ and Lord.

George Will reveals he is voting for Joe Biden — the first time he’s ever cast a vote for a Democrat: report

Pulitzer Prize-winning Washington Post columnist George Will says he will be casting a vote for a Democrat in November — for the first time in his life.

Will was interviewed at the Aspen Institute on Monday by USA TODAY Washington bureau chief Susan Page.

Page reports that Will said that will be voting for Biden and that it is the first time he has voted for a Democrat since he started voting Republican when Barry Goldwater ran for president in 1964.

It's amazing that George Will would vote for a Democrat, Giuliano. Of course, the Republican Party is no longer a conservative party or represents conservatism (what does it conserve?) so where else can George Will go? He doesn't want Trump, and Trump's elite, and his encroaching, attempting big government dictatorship.

I found it amazing. I am glad some real conservatives are standing up.

Now Tom Ridge is speaking up. He's not mincing words.

Former Bush DHS secretary rips Trump for treating department like 'the president's personal militia'

America's first secretary of homeland security thinks his former department has gotten its mission twisted.

The Trump administration has sent federal agents into Portland, Oregon, and has suggested sending them to other cities in what it claims is an attempt to quell violent protests there. But Tom Ridge, a former two-term Republican governor of Pennsylvania who former President George W. Bush tapped as the first DHS head, told Sirius XM host Michael Smerconish on Tuesday that's not what DHS is meant to do.

"The department was established to protect America from the ever-present threat of global terrorism. It was not established to be the president’s personal militia," Ridge said, alluding to the department's creation after the 9/11 attacks. Ridge did say he would "welcome the opportunity to work with any federal agency to reduce crime or lawlessness in the cities" if he were governor. But "it would be a cold day in hell before I would consent to an uninvited, unilateral intervention into one of my cities," he added, specifically calling out how the federal authorities were unwelcome in Portland.

There's a lot of libertarian hostility in Tom Ridge's statement to Trump's big government, attempting dictatorship. I'm sure that many conservatives are very hostile to the hidden, hostile police actions aimed at the American public. Freedom-loving people want their government to be above-board and transparent.

Libertarian conservatives want the police to be policed as well.

Will is probably thinking that a complete disaster, a la George McGovern, might turn the GOP away from corruption and extremism. It did turn the democrats toward the center. For anyone who has held to the republican party in the past, the choices are to reform it (which would require removing Trump and his fellow-travelers) or starting over with a new party.

Did anyone see this? Biden leading Trump by 8 on the latest Fox poll.

Does that mean Republican voters will stop watching Fox?

If they take Trump's advice, they might stop watching Fox. Fox has always leaned right, but they do have limits to what they present as "real news." They can spin things a little, but don't expect outright lies. They have their credibility to think of. Trump doesn't seem to understand that.

Trump Encourages Followers to Watch OANN or Newsmax, Not Fox News

President Donald Trump lashed out at Fox News over the weekend, declaring his Twitter followers would be better off tuning into one of the conservative-leaning network’s competitors.

“@FoxNews weekend afternoons is the worst! Getting into @CNN and MSDNC territory. Watch @OANN & @newsmax instead. Much better!” the president wrote Sunday afternoon, not missing the opportunity to insult CNN or MSNBC while heralding One America News and Newsmax.

The source of his ire was the network’s polling, which has been showing him losing November’s presidential election to former vice president Joe Biden in recent weeks: “@FoxNews gladly puts up the phony suppression polls as soon as they come out. We are leading in the REAL polls because people are sick & tired of watching the Democrat run cities, in all cases, falling apart. Also, now 96% Approval Rating in the Republican Party. Another 2016!” he wrote.
Governor Walker of Wisconsin had another way of countering the polls --he says there's a "silent majority."

Scott Walker: Silent Majority for Trump in Wisconsin Is Real

Former Gov. Scott Walker (R-WI) said a silent majority of voters in Wisconsin support President Donald Trump, and polls in the Badger State did not reflect the outcomes of gubernatorial elections he won in 2010 and 2014. He offered his remarks on Wednesday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Tonight with special guest host Jerome Hudson.

Hudson asked, “Is there a secret Trump vote brewing in the country, or particularly in Wisconsin?”

Walker replied, “Yes, and there’s no doubt about it. We’ve historically seen — I’ve seen it my four statewide elections — that the polls were notoriously off in terms of people like me, and just Republicans in general. I think that case is even more intense for this president, just because of all the abuse and all the attacks and all the grief that people get for even hinting it.”
If it's such a secret, how does he know about it? What's he saying: Republicans don't have phones, they have them but don't answer them, or they lie to pollsters because they're ashamed to admit how they vote?
