Genuine Questions for Cessationist's

This is a genuine (and probably unusual request), but I am hoping to have some fruitful discussions and gain an understanding of what Cessationist's believe - and why they believe it - from actual cessationists.

If they do not believe God heals anymore, what benefit is finding out what or why they believe that ? DO they reject Laetrile (Vitamin b17) that was used to cure cancer since the early 1920's or before then ? Do they think that cure also CEASED ? (it still works in Mexico and Canada) .... Thousands go every day and ARE HAPPY at the clinics, not depressed, because they SEE THE SUCCESS.

I have read on the Laetrile and have found that many cancer patients died of cyanide poisoning from the pit of the peach (also contained in apple seeds) So, I would think it should be controlled better if used and one can find it all over the internet for sale. If I had cancer and found out about the healing properties of the Laetrile I would be taking it as much as I could! And...that seems a bad idea. It's an interesting thing to look into though

tada - the open 'secret' - who said long ago "we are what we eat" ? And as you noted by what we eat , sickness occurs frequently, and also (did you note this?), the opposite is true also, when people do not have a lack of knowledge of the truth.... Many licensed professionals (doctors in the ama even) , have successfully used DIET with not even one drug, to heal a multitude of diseases caused by previous bad diet .... no surprise there...

It surprises most people, they are even (HAPPILY) surprised AFTER they are cured , that it was and is SO EASY, SO SIMPLE...
and they have righteous indignation at the system that prevents people from knowing this all along....

Have you ever researched the toxicity of it?? And, BTW-all the news is fake today, it was cancelled when it became pay per view. Now, it's all political garbage either from the way far right or the way far left so...don't concern yourself with the cares of this world...makes life much more peaceful

In the tropics, like Panama, where the natives eat the fruit(s) WITH the seeds all the time, they have no cancer , and not even one is sick nor dies from the laetrile (Vitamin b17) in all the seeds.
The loss of trillions of dollars in profits would occur if people knew this and practiced this.

So the drug lords/makers who would lose trillions of ill-gained profits published many many many lies to protect their assets... (the "t" may be silent) ...

There is no toxicity per se. No one has ever died from laetrile injections, natural or synthetic.
(let alone from eating foods/ seeds with vitamin b17 in it) .
Cyanide is in that b12 incjectino you know ? People HAVE DIED from b12 injections ... improperly used of course. That injects cyanide directly into the body.

THe cyanide normally is BOUND to other molecules and is harmless to the body...
until it gets around a cancer cell.... . .... Then the cyanide is released and kills the cancer cell,
and is in no way harmful to the normal cells close by.

There are 24 different nutrients helpful to your health, that prevent most diseases including cancer.
Laetrile - Vitamin B17 is just one of them known for over a century, and all are opposed by the phrmk and those deceived by phrmk.

Hahaha...yeah, silent "t" there, agreed 100%. I used to eat the apple seeds after eating an apple when I was a kid...loved em...didn't get cyanide poisoning but, some Aunt or Uncle told me to not do that because I could get sick. But, I still did

It's not hard to follow the money and it's all in the BIG 3's bank accounts. They have been trying their best to demonize the Vaporizers that have gotten millions off of tobacco and the tobacco company's are not pleased...they WANT you on them and try to say vaping is equivalent to smoking combusted tobacco which is a lie from the pits of hell. Their first stab at derailing them was to tell the public that "you are vaping anti-freeze"!!! Well, most everyday people would believe it, and still do! There is a HUGE difference between Propylene Glycol and Ethylene Glycol. Anyhow...already de-railed this thread too many times!

Amen and for sure. Even the parachutes in WWII were made with hemp...just think of all the farmers that were put out of business when they outlawed it! Yeah, I remember reading about a slew of things hemp can be used for but then, the "too big to fail" greed-mongers (Lumber, plastic, etc.) will pay so much for their lobbyists and, the small farmers (little guys) don't have a chance. Such shame on this world.

Hi Joseph,

The reason for asking is to find out what they really believe from themselves... not what I or others claim they believe. I believe there is value in investigating and giving time to hear other people out - who genuinely love God.

Already it's been fruitful for me. From what I have read from @Enoch111 and @Anthony D'Arienzo - it appears they do believe that God still heals today. (A few weeks ago I thought they may deny this completely), so I'm learning - which is what I really wanted. From what I can gather (and this is what I'm still trying to learn) - they don't believe though that someone can have the gift of healing upon their lives as a ministry - and go and heal everyone they pray for as the apostles did - but that doesn't mean that God won't heal through prayer. (Cessationists, please correct me if I'm wrong with what I just mentioned).

The question / topic of this thread isn't what people claim the truth is regarding cessationists vs continuists - it's to have a respectfu Q&A dialog with Cessationists giving them a place to answer questions themselves about what they believe without other people coming in, spreading different information about what they believe cessationists believe. There are already other threads going strong with debates on the issue - this thread isn't about debate or proving them wrong... it's just about hearing them out and getting a clear picture of what they believe and why.

I fully get that you're concerned about people being mislead and are passionate about what you believe. I both respect and appreciate that. But I take the approach that we can be wrong about what we believe someone else believes. I really don't want this to deteoriate into an argument thread.

I appreciate that you might be concerned that people are being mislead - so could I please politely and respectfully ask that you post a reply with a link to another thread and continue on there for any points made here (the same as I did in my post #29) so we don't get off topic. Or alternatively if you believe that they ignore other scriptures to promote their view - instead of making a statement as such, could I request that you ask them how they reconcile those scriptures with their belief and hear them out instead? I know I have no right to request this, other than asking respectfully - and that's all this is - a polite plead not to derail this thread - as I genuinely want to gain a greater understanding of what cessationists believe and how they observe - not what people who oppose them claim that they do and don't believe or where they're wrong.
