You will be proven wrong like the rest of them if you sensationalize the verses too much.
I can only assure you the historical based areas of the book of Rev like the RCC(originally the Roman empire), or the woman in Rev that the dragon chases(Israel) etc..
But I will not try to guess what many of the signs are with the future events, such as stated above.
For instance, in the 70's they were constantly talking about the "10 common market nations"...well, that blew up.
I learned my lesson along time ago to generalize the book.

EXCELLENT OBSERVATION!!! -- One which I've already acknowledged and explained, but YOU RIGHTFULLY MUST DEMAND that explanation if you missed my previous posts. SMART GIRL!!
-- Scripture says that we "see through a glass darkly" and so what we do see sometimes captures the significant, but leaves out the details. And so I use the words "expect", "anticipate", "conclude", etc., to allow for the ambiguities of military logistics versus events. So let me provide the tangibles versus the extrapolations:
1. Dan. 11:40 describes that the U.S. (king of the "south") will attack "him", which could be any country in the world. And of course we might anticipate something in the Middle East, because Russia (the king of the "north") will come down; Iran will come across; and Lybia and ~Somolia~ will come up through Egypt to attack Israel. And Israel will use nuclear weapons over Meggido because international politics demand that no weapon be used over another's territory, so they must use them over their own territory.
2. Scripture does not suggest any Wuhan/China virus complications. As such, any specific "plague" can meet the depiction, so it's something I can't anticipate or provision for, although when the stores shelves were depleted I did bring some items down for our use.
3. After the attack on Israel, China will "spank" the Russians and the U.N. will "heal" that "mortal wound", which will allow Russia to participate in the final Global Thermonuclear War in which kings and rich men will use fallout shelters ("caves"), and people with radiation sickness will recover due to the powerful healing properties in our bodies such that "death will flee from us".
4. It took some 6 months for the U.S. with all it's air-lift and ship resources to deploy sufficient troops and equipment to Saudi Arabia in the 1991 FIRST "Desert Storm". As such it would seem appropriate that if we discern (using the Prophetic Psalms premise -- J.R. Church, "Hidden Prophecies In The Psalms"), that working backwards from the Fall of 2021, it might take 3 months to restore a destroyed Russia; and another 4 months for China to "spank" Russia; and another 3 months for Russia and allies to attack Israel; -- and these are all optimistic. A more plausible time-line should DOUBLE those durations if not TRIPLE, and thus what could have happened in 2019 -- didn't.
5. So now all we can do is wait until we see some "spark" which will ignite the Middle East (presumably) and it could hinge on Lebanon's political upheaval or any number of circumstances including Syria, Iraq, shipping in the Persian Gulf, etc.

I admit I am not that skilled on the Daniel and Revelation interpretations....but I have been reading OT books also related to Revelation....Jeremiah, Nehemiah, Isaiah and some others....they all provide keys to the book of Revelation.

Yes but the non-Christians don't understand what they are fixing to accept. And since they are already implementing chips and such...and I believe there are 5 countries who have already gone cashless.

Ummmmmmm, -- I can save you a LOT of time. -- You won't find it in the commentators (theologians), and not much in the scholars. -- The angel in 12:4 & 9 commanded Daniel:
Dan. 12:4 But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”

... and all the commentators interpret the fulfillments as ANCIENT history. Just consider that it hasn't been until the last hundred years or so that men have been able to travel some 60 to 600mph ("run to and fro"). And not since the mid-60's that we've had INSTANT "KNOWLEDGE" LITERALLY AT OUR FINGERTIPS (keyboard). So you can throw out the disobedient "commentators".
But as far as the scholars, there are specific instances where a handful of scholars have identified passages and texts which contradict the "Classical Interpretation", -- but they themselves were equally not able to see Modern History in sufficient hind-sight to provide a Modern interpretation.
So, H2S, you're pretty much on your own with a Bible and a History book. And remember, these "commentators" can't even count to FIVE, instead using a 4a/4b. They believe that the empire of CLAY is Revived Roman because it has a residue of Iron in it. But if memory serves me correctly, our own Pledge of Allegiance says:
... and to the Republic, for which it stands ...
... which suggests that because the Roman Empire was never conquered and never REPLACED, but simply dissolved into various kingdoms, fifedoms, cities, and regions, -- they kept the Roman Republic Senatus Populusque Romanus (Senate and the Roman People) bicameral model and eventually became the FIFTH "Divided Kingdom":
41 And as you saw the feet and toes partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, it shall be a divided kingdom ...
45 ... the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold ... = 4,3,5,2,1 = FIVE
