Who do men say that I am?
Some say this, some say that..
Who do you say I am?
Thou art the Christ.
Mat 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed
it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
Luk 10:24 For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen
them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard
them.
Where does it say the men of Sodom wanted to have sex with those two men???
See here is the thing..
These two guys show up at Lot's house. The people in the neighborhood are curious. Who you got in your house Lot??
Introduce your friends..
what did Lot do?
What did LOT do?
Did Lot know how to read minds?
Lot = "covering"
covering or veil.
The blind leading the blind...
Only reason why Lot made it out alive was because of Abraham.
Remember the deal ended at 10.. there wasn't 10
they came to bring judgement on Sodom..
and Lot judged them..
judge not, lest ye be judged
God have mercy!
This rumour been circulating for so long...
the Bible tells you exactly what the sin of Sodom was.
The Lord through Ezekiel is giving Jerusalem a little pep talk..
she thinks she is so righteous and perfect.. but God has news for her.
Eze 16:48 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters.
Eze 16:49 Behold,
this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom,
pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters,
neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
Eze 16:50 And they were
haughty, and
committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw
good.
Eze 16:51 Neither hath Samaria committed half of thy sins;
but thou hast multiplied thine abominations more than they, and hast justified thy sisters in all thine abominations which thou hast done.
Eze 16:52 Thou also, which hast judged thy sisters, bear thine own shame for thy sins that
thou hast committed more abominable than they:
they are more righteous than thou: yea, be thou confounded also, and bear thy shame, in that thou hast justified thy sisters.
You know what is abominable... idolatry.
oh but what about Jude??!!
Jde 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
strange (difficult word to find in the greek) other... other.
flesh.. the soft tissue which covers the bones of man and beast.
other flesh could mean other people not of their nation.
could mean beastiality.. could mean a lot of things..
But I don't see in the book of Genesis where it said anything about the men wanting to have fornication with them.
That's what Lot thought...
Lot, the guy who has relations with his 2 daughters because they believe there are no more men to ....
Even though LOT KNEW Abraham was just over the horizon..
Pot calling the kettle black..
Remember Lot's wife.. she cared more about her life than her husband or daughters.
The 2 guys that were to be married to the two daughters.. see ya..
I think Lot was a very lonely man and had nothing better to do than stand in the gate and point fingers at everybody else.
And greedy. He wanted the best watered land, and so he parked his SUV at Sodom's door..
he knew about them..
And when the light came knocking on his door, what did he do?
don't look here... look there..
that's why the people got mad and wanted to bust down Lot's door.
Gen 19:9
And they said, Stand back. And they said
again, This one
fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man,
even Lot, and came near to break the door.
Finale,
When Jesus says He never knew you... ???
Too bad Lot stood in the door:
Mar 3:7 But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judaea,
Mar 3:8 And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and
from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him.
Mar 3:9 And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.
Mar 3:10 For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.
Mar 3:11 And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.
Mar 3:12 And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known.
It's TOO BAD Lot stood in the Door:
Mar 6:7 And he called
unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by
two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;
Mar 6:8 And commanded them that they should take nothing for
their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in
their purse:
Mar 6:9 But
be shod with sandals; and not put on two coats.
Mar 6:10 And he said unto them,
In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place.
Mar 6:11 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you,
It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
Mar 6:12 And they went out, and preached that men should repent.
Mar 6:13 And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick,
and healed them.
Too bad Lot stood in the door.
