Yes both our physical life and spiritual live come from God who does the begetting. :)

But as we know some like to receive glory and take credit for their own birth and righteousness before God.
But as we know some like to downplay repentance and man's responsibility.

My “ Spidey Senses” are telling me that somebody has “ me” in mind here ....lol..

I not only “ downplay” Repentance ....I will stand up and declare that it is WORTHLESS if you think that the word “ repent” automatically means to “ Repent of SINS and “that” is the Way Of Salvation....Countless people are “ repenting” their way to Hell....The typical understanding of repentance means to be so sorry for Sinning that you beg for forgiveness and then grit your teeth and make the determination that you will “ not sin anymore”..... If “ sorrow for Sin” makes one fit for Heaven....Judas will certainly be among the “ fittest” in Paradise.....
NOWHERE in the KJV does it say “ Repent Of SINS” to be Saved......what the Bible DOES say is to “ TURN TO GOD with Faith in Jesus Christ , And I will Save you to the Uttermost!” That “ TURNING” is the only type of Repentance That plays a part in Salvation ( there are 3 different types of repenting in the Bible ) God’s Word says “ TURN to me and I will Turn to you” — Do a little bit of That and see if it doesn’t get better results.
Repentance , properly understood, is MANDANTORY for Salvation....the word that the Translators translated for “ repentance” is “ metanoia” ......it literally means “ mind change”. If you are an UNbeliever in the Gospel ( 1Cor15:1-4) and you CHANGE YOUR MIND and become a BELIEVER—— you have undergone the Repentance That SAVES you......
You mention “ man’s responsibility” and yes, he has one —- “ Believe in the One that He sent”.... You Prove That you do that when you Believe the Gospel......” Jesus died for your Sins and rose from the Grave” .....if you “ Believe” it , God Commands you to Prove That you do by Resting in it ....” Worry” is the opposite of “ Rest” . If you Worry about your Salvation , you are not Resting in the Gospel —- you got problems, my friend....God Bless....

No, I did not have you, specifically, in mind...

But the dog that barks the loudest is the one that got hit.

That being said, I think that the following passage tells us that if we repent it will be unto life:

Eze 33:11, Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
Eze 33:12, Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.
Eze 33:13, When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.
Eze 33:14, Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right;
Eze 33:15, If the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.
Eze 33:16, None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.
Eze 33:17, Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal.
Eze 33:18, When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, he shall even die thereby.
Eze 33:19, But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.
Eze 33:20, Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O ye house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways.

I do believe that turning from wickedness and doing what is lawful and right, as it is shown forth in these verses, signifies repentance from being a sinner.

Furthermore, we find in 1 John 3:9 and in 1 John 3:6 w/ 1 John 2:17 that the one who is born of God cannot continue in a lifestyle of sinning (we must repent to be born again) and that the one who abideth in Christ "sinneth not" for ever.

Furthermore, Jesus said in Luke 13:1-5, not once, but twice, that unless you repent you will all likewise perish.

And finally, the forerunner of Jesus, John the Baptist, preached a message of repentance to all in order to prepare the way for the Messiah (see all of Matthew 3); and I do not think that we ought to discount this in our understanding of what it means to prepare Him room in our hearts, as the Christmas carol would tell us to do.

If you received a free car, but neglected it by parking it outside with the doors unlocked, the thief would come and steal your free gift.

When you neglect your free gift of Salvation, the thief will come to steal, and to kill, and to destroy that free gift. Salvation must be maintained to remain in your possession.

Not according to Jesus teaching in John 10. Secure in Him. No one can snatch one of His sheep from His hands or the Fathers.

Paul declares the same thing in Romans 8.

hope this helps !!!

Misunderstanding. Jesus' sheep hear His voice and FOLLOW Him. People who have neglected the free gift of Salvation are not following Jesus but their own lusts.

John 10

Paul declares the same thing in Romans 8.

Paul declares no such thing.

Romans 8
[1] There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

It’s very possible to acknowledge salvation as a free gift without having to embrace the ideas of once-saved-always-saved.

Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:

“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

My position will never change since Eternal Life is a promise and not once in Scripture is Eternal Life ever removed from anyone who has received the gift of Eternal Life.

Counterfeit Christianity states that no matter what you do you are secure in your Salvation. It's a false sense of security through a false gospel.

John 15
[1] I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
[2] Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Jesus declares I give them Eternal Life and no one can snatch them from His hands.

It is obvious that eternal life doesn’t begin when we die. Jesus said, He who believes in Me has (present tense) everlasting life. He didn’t say that the one who believes in Him will have (future tense) everlasting life. He said that he has eternal life in the here and now from that very first moment of faith. Eternal life is unending life.

Jesus, Paul and John emphasize that eternal life is a present reality and the present possession of the Christian in the here and now. It will have its ultimate fulfillment in the future but every believer has eternal life at the moment they believe in the Son of God.

Jesus said I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. (John 10:28).That means nothing or no one can remove a believer from Christ.

Paul tells us in Ephesians 4:30 that believers are sealed for the day of redemption. If believers did not have salvation or eternal life/security then the sealing could not truly be until the day of redemption. Paul in Romans 8:38-39 really drives home the everlasting promise of eternal life/salvation for the believer "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Our eternal security is bought with the blood of Christ, promised to us by the Father Who cannot deny Himself and sealed in the believers heart by the Holy Spirit. What wonderful promises believers have for their eternal security in Christ.

Jesus tells us in John 3:15-16 that whoever believes in Jesus Christ will have eternal life, not might have but actually possesses that everlasting life. If a person is promised eternal life and then to have it taken away then it was never eternal to begin with and it makes Jesus out to be a liar and the promises of God to be false. Below we see more promises the believer can count on for eternal life now and in the future. We can be confident in the promises of God.

John 3:16
16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

John 3:36
"He who believes in the Son has eternal life;

John 5:24
"Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

John 6:47
"Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life.

John 6:54
54 "He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.

John 10:27-30
"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; 28 and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. 29 "My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. 30 "I and the Father are one."

Matt 25:46
"These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

1 John 3:14
We know that we have passed out of death into life,

1 John 5:13
These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.

The self righteous deny this truth and are saved by their own works and not by the Savior of the world. They deny Gods promise of Eternal Life and make Jesus a liar.

A false gospel that Paul condemns in Galatians 1-3.

You FOOLISH Galatians who hath BEWITCHED you having begun by faith and being perfected by the works of the flesh.

hope this helps,

Jesus said:

Matthew 7

[21] Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
[22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
[23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

YEP just like judas who was never saved.Nowhere in scripture does it say that Judas was saved or possessed eternal life. In fact it declares just the opposite. The bible teaches that Judas was the son of perdition from the beginning. He was created for the very purpose and role as the traitor who would betray Jesus. Jesus said of Judas it would of been better off for him to not even been born than to betray the Son of Man.

John 6:63-65
The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life. 64 Yet there are some of you who do not believe." For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray Him. 65 He went on to say, "This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled him."

John 6:70-71
Then Jesus replied, "Have I not chosen you, the Twelve? Yet one of you is a devil!" 71 (He meant Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, who, though one of the Twelve, was later to betray Him.)

John 12:4-6
But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was later to betray Him, objected, 5 "Why wasn't this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a year's wages." 6 He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it.

John 13:10-11
10 Jesus answered, "A person who has had a bath needs only to wash his feet; his whole body is clean. And you are clean, though not every one of you." 11 For He knew who was going to betray Him, and that was why He said not every one was clean.

John 17:12
12 While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled.

Matt 26:23-25
23 Jesus replied, "The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me will betray me. 24 The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born."

25 Then Judas, the one who would betray him, said, "Surely not I, Rabbi?"

Jesus answered, "Yes, it is you."

Acts 1:16-19
16 and said, "Brothers, the Scripture had to be fulfilled which the Holy Spirit spoke long ago through the mouth of David concerning Judas, who served as guide for those who arrested Jesus— 17 he was one of our number and shared in this ministry."

18 (With the reward he got for his wickedness, Judas bought a field; there he fell headlong, his body burst open and all his intestines spilled out. 19 Everyone in Jerusalem heard about this, so they called that field in their language Akeldama, that is, Field of Blood.)

Acts 1:24-26
Show us which of these two you have chosen 25 to take over this apostolic ministry, which Judas left to go where he belongs." 26 Then they cast lots, and the lot fell to Matthias; so he was added to the eleven apostles.

Ps 109:4-8
In return for my friendship they accuse me,
but I am a man of prayer.
5 They repay me evil for good,
and hatred for my friendship.

6 Appoint an evil man to oppose him;
let an accuser stand at his right hand.
7 When he is tried, let him be found guilty,
and may his prayers condemn him.
8 May his days be few;
may another take his place of leadership.

next objection .......................................

YEP just like judas who was never saved.Nowhere in scripture does it say that Judas was saved or possessed eternal life.

Satan was divided against himself? How can Satan cast out Satan?

Matthew 12
[25] And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
[26] And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

[27] And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.
[28] But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
[29] Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
[30] He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

ask Jesus to help you understand the truth since you are twisting it all the time. you need the Holy Spirit to understand.

see 1 Corinthians 2

hope this helps !!!

If Judas was always of Satan, And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
