The enemy has had over 2000 years to pervert the gospel with so many varieties. And the world is full of people who have accepted one of those varieties or a combination of them. So many theological books filled with garbage.at

What the Lord said is so true...

Few will be saved.

Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
what is the gospel ?

can you define the true gospel for us ?

God gives great grace - favor - in giving us power in Christ. You cannot depersonalize the effect of Jesus inside us as some "force" called grace - charis.

Grace means favor, gifting, like that. Dunamis is Greek for ability. The power of God is Christ is you, not Grace in you.

Much love!

Grace is the Holy Spirit. The power in the Trinity. That is why the gifts of the Holy Spirit are called power gifts/charisma gifts. I abide in Jesus, and Jesus ABIDES IN ME. We are inseparable. I can't have some "force" without Jesus. And, btw, I am NOT a fan of Joel Olsteen.

No.

I can only tell you what it is from the Bible.

Jeremiah 23:33 And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of the LORD? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the LORD.

Jeremiah 23:34 And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the LORD, I will even punish that man and his house.

Jeremiah 23:35 Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbour, and every one to his brother, What hath the LORD answered? and, What hath the LORD spoken?

Jeremiah 23:36 And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more: for every man's word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God.

I don't understand. The Holy Spirit is unmerited favor?

No, that is the common misunderstanding. That is why Martin Luther claimed that even if he committed murder and adultery a thousand times a day, they would not separate him from the Father."

Huh?
Totally scriptural.

The New Covenant was started with this:

8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Since you brought this up...

I've never heard a person claim "THEY" have "a license to sin."

But I have heard One make that claim "for another".

What exactly does that mean?
Who "issues" such a "license"?
Who "receives" such a license?
How and When?
Is there a "penalty" for people who "sin", without a "license to sin"?

What is an example of "someone" sinning "with a license to sin?"

What is an example of "someone" sinning "without a license to sin"?

It is called licentiousness.

hmmmm I didn't see one single solitary mention of the GOSPEL in your quotes...................

things that make you go hmmmmmm.................

there must be some "hidden" meaning in those passages regarding the Gospel

there was be a mystery to them that only you can see and is hidden from the rest of us.............

Hebrews 12:22-24 KJV
[22] But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, [23] To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, [24] And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
