4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. - 1 Corinthians 2:4-5.
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; - 2 Timothy 4:2-3.
We have to make a distinction about the gospel. Now keep in mind when we say gospel you are not talking about what men say the gospel is, even if their right. You can never go with what men determine to be gospel. What men say the gospel is is what gets us in trouble in the since you need the gospel to grow in understanding. Without growth we become very stagnant in our understanding and that usually brings a nudge from the Spirit to move, grow some, time to grow. When you hear the certified gospel (Paul calls it) you cannot help but grow, it is automatic.
So how do we judge? by the word it self. What does scripture say "spiritual being judges all things." Judging all things is a growth pattern that believers get into as a means of knowing what is gospel and what is not. It is not voiceterous or braggadocios, it simply judges all things.
What the gospel does is allow a believer to hear and know immediately when the gospel preached is a message of separation or completion. For instance the message of "doing to be" that is a separation gospel. We don't do to be, we do because we are. That is not popular especially with young or new believers because of enthusiasm. They feel like you are saying we don't do anything and just sit back and wait for a rapture. When if they would sit and listen long enough they could see it is quite the opposite.
Those that I have known through the year's that had a good understanding of the gospel did way more as far as doing goes than those that were still playing with doctrines and being in some kind of comfortable situation. If you watch you see those will give less, they are always looking for a way out of doing something for God and become just a mouth piece, that means they talk alot but very little action. Because they really don't even believe half of what they proclaim so there is no motivation.
The word it self is what rebukes men. I don't have to go around straightening out everyone I disagree with, so how do I handle it? Simple, preach the gospel. I don't need to end all cults and rebuke the ones I disagree with, not on a regular basis anyway. I preach the gospel that is written in very plain English. When you preach Christ it is a undeniable truth that brings everything else into question. That's why we say we don't need to protest we need to preach the gospel in season and out of season. If you preach the gospel and let the world take care of itself you will keep yourself out of a lot of situations that are very unnecessary to be in. The more I warm up to the world, even if I'm going to straighten out the world, the world becomes a schoolhouse for teaching me "I'm in the world but not of the world.''
So the only deliverance from the world is the gospel, preach the gospel and leave the world to the Father, He created it and is working in the world for good.
