I'm not attacking you. "bullying"... who's doing that? But I'm not gay, my ex-wife was for a time and she agreed with @amigo de christo on the subject. I said my concerns and probably will leave it at that now.

Nobody's bullying anyone it was just a hypothetical situation and you made it seem of how you worded that that I was promoting homosexuality just by being concerned of how homosexual people are treated.

I don't think any homosexuals trying to repent are going to feel hated by any Christians. So I'm not sure what you're talking about. Which is why the promoting concern came up. Which homosexuals do you think feel hated? And why?

All I know is that I've been reading comments on this forum that concern me and the trans YouTuber that I mentioned before gets hate comments all the time by Conservative Christians so obviously he feels hate from them.

Often the first line of defense you will hear is , I WAS BORN this way , GOD made me like this .
They try to even use science to back that up , as well as a false love version of God .
But here is the kicker . Even before i was drawn to Christ , even when i was a young teenager .
I knew the I was born this way , was a lie .
See , that was back in the eighties . And the lie they were born like this was really taking root into the world .
I remember scratching my head when i heard that .
WOULD anyone like to know why i was scratching my head in unbelief . Even though i was not yet a follower of Christ .
Because in my own family we have had some who are gay .
SO how did i know that this was a lie . Because as i said some within my own family are gay .
AND GUESS WHAT , if its genetic , IF it is the way we are born
HOW COME my IDENTICAL TWIN UNCLES , one was gay the other STRAIGHT . YEAH .
I knew this was a lie many many years ago . And i got identical twins all over my family
I myself am an identical triplet . SO how come some are gay and some are straight . I MEAN IDENTICAL TWINS and etc
ARE GENTICALLY IDENTICAL . yeah . exactly . This is a lie .
The way I understand it is the sex of the child is determined by how much the brain it soaked in testosterone.
I’ll further state, I believe most are too ignorant on this topic to comment.

I thought I would add this for information into this thread. I'm not looking to get attacked by anyone:

The military used to have a "don't ask, don't tell" policy on homosexuality. For a Christian where homosexuality is a wicked, it makes sense. I mean Alcoholics Anonymous has anonymous so we don't get judged by people. Nobody gets to know you're a recovering alcoholic. To a Christian homosexuality and being a drunkard are both wicked. I think that was the purpose of the military's "Don't ask, don't tell" policy.

But the GBLT community wants to be accepted as a non-discriminatory behavior so they fought against it and now can serve openly as GBLT without discrimination. Further promoting homosexuality as not wrong/wicked. Will they get judged now that they aren't hiding their sins from the world? Surely they will knowing full well that Alcoholics that don't remain anonymous get discriminated against and judged. But now they have legal recourse.

There is some studies that suggest that alcoholism can be inherited. People think GBLT might be the same way. I have schizophrenia and I usually hide it as it was advised me by my psychiatric team to do so so that I don't get discriminated against.

So why promote GBLT openly as not wrong/wicked when Christianity says it is, unless you will also get rid of Christianity? I think that's why my first post was targeted at GBLT parts that attempt to remove a generic God statement out of the Government and Schools, etc. What's next? Silencing Christianity?

You know what you have a point. As much as I believe in not getting all judgmental about people, when these people come out they have to expect that they're going to get judged. Especially when they shove it in our faces on television and in movies and stuff. There's such a thing as too much equality too.

That makes sense, thanks April.

Maybe there's just a fine balance between being too judgmental and too accepting? Since either one of those things isn't good.

Well there definitely are judgmental people out there. My facebook friends are super judgmental, but they're all highschool friends and I care about them. I'm not choosing those they judge over them. I'll stick with my family and friends and just work with them.

As a spinoff thread to my LGBTQ thread there is something I need to know. Why do a lot of Christians treat members of the LGBTQ community and people who commit suicide as guilty of committing the unforgiveable sin? Newsflash! If either of those things was the unforgiveable sin Jesus would have come right out and said that it was but no the only unforgiveable sin is rejecting Christ and having an unrepentant heart until you die so I fail to understand why Christians automatically assume that if you're gay or you commit suicide you're going to Hell. Especially since you can bet that these people are already struggling enough as it is and a lot of them want help for it but a lot of the time they don't get it and hence why they take their own lives as sad as it is. :'(
Hello @April_Rose,

There are a lot of things said and done in the name of the Lord, which must grieve His heart.

We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God, and we all need a Saviour.

We are to hate the sin but love the sinner.

Thank you
In Christ Jesus
Chris

'Keep yourselves in the love of God,
looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
And of some have compassion, making a difference:
And others save with fear,
pulling them out of the fire;
hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.'
(Jude 1:21-23)

I don't consider suicide a sin in any way. Whether it should be supported or encouraged is a different question.

It shouldn't be but it is still a sin it's just not the unforgiveable sin. Isn't the killing of oneself still classified as murder?

The sin is not being attracted to the same sex, the sin is acting on it. I suppose the same would be for someone who hates themselves wanting to die. The sin, again, would be acting on it.

I don't see how it could be. Murder, imo, is the taking of a life in a manner that is either illegal or without the person's consent. Suicide doesn't fit either scenario.

Well I think it still classifies as thou shall not kill though.

I think perhaps the real question is whether one can be a practicing homosexual and be a Christian at the same time. Isn't this what some gays are trying to promote?
And I think perhaps the answer is not so easy. If I say no, then how is my sin " allowed " but their sin isn't?
Now they are definitely sinning, don't get me wrong, but I guess God can decide.

I will say up front that I hate the sin but not the sinner. BUT I do get up set with the gay's
I don't know why but I attract Gays for some reason. My wife thinks it funny when they make a pass at me.
I was hit on many times when I was in the military, I have been patted on the butt twice in books stores and given the secret hand shake three times. I'm straight and always have been.
How does that make me feel? Do I have the right to be up set with them?
Pomp.
