There is no grace available to cover that sin.

Got chapter and verse?

Sounds like Grace is not really there when it’s needed most....I guess Grace only applies when you are performing well, doing good and “ deserving” of it.....that is exactly the Opposite Of what Grace is
supposed to be.....it’s UNEARNED Favor......

"there remains no more sacrifice for sins"

That is the grace in the single verse we are now discussing!

@Charlie24

Are you going to refute the scriptures I presented, or are you going to keep telling me what your falsehoods have taught you?

Just show me ONE scripture that teaches what you teach (without commentary).

Look guys, believe whatever you want, no one is going to hell if we continue to believe.

And I know that all of you will continue to believe in our Lord who gave Himself for us!

I've just had enough of this, no hard feelings, just tired of repeating myself.

So I'm not responding to anything else in this thread, no disrespect intended!

That is a waste of time. You won't succeed in setting anything straight with anti-Catholics. God has not commissioned anybody to set the record straight just for the sake of setting the record straight. That is a prideful motivation that comes from the flesh, not from the Spirit.
I expose people like you and set the record straight for the scores of others who smply come here to read the posts and find answers.
Nothing short of a miracle is going to make YOU change. I do it for those seeking the truth so they won't be seduced by YOUR lies.

Nothing "prideful" about that . . .

Matt 16
[16] ..."Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God"

[18] ....upon "this" rock I will build "my church"...

Pss 51
[13] Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

Eph 1:
[22] And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
[23] Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
That's what I thought.
NONE of these verses make YOUR claim about an invisible gaggle of "converted" people.

Matt. 16:18 is about His VISIBLE Church.
Eph. 1:22-34 is about His VISIBLE Church.
And Psalm 51:13 says NOTHING about "all" converted people outside of a VISIBLE Church

It's never been my goal to "convert" anyone here to Catholicism.

As I have stated oon numerous occasions - my SOLE purpose for being here is to seek out those who find it necessary to spread LIES about the Catholic Church - expose them - and set the record straight.

That's it - NO great mystery.
And, by the way - the verse you presented doesn't say that the Church is some invisible gaggle of "converted people". Paul is writing to the CHURCH in Corinth.

I love catholic people ..... I know many that get Saved DESPITE their Romanism....yes, I love Catholics but I could fill a warehouse with all the things that they get wrong....The Fairy Take Of Purgatory is my favorite! Satan can’t “ believe” that people actually bough into that Hogwash....yet, millions do....I wonder how many people wound up in Hell because they thought they could Sin Away and just be willing to pay for their own sins with a thousand or so years of torture.....wow.....talk about “ Trampling the Blood”.......

no one is going to hell if we continue to believe

Unless you do these things:

Matthew 7:23
...depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Hebrews 10:26-27
For if we sin wilfully... remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

Because:

1 John 3:9
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin

I don’t want you to keep believing a lie.

I believe and am saved, so now I can commit every sin under heaven with impunity?!

You can commit any sin you want , but you can’t sin and “ get away with it”..... have you never heard of God’s Chastisement Program? God never takes away our freedom.....we are free to sin as much as we want —- the secret of Christianity is that God changes our “ wants”.....
So “ sin away “ all you Fools out there that think you can Mock God and “ get away with it” .....if you are A Believer, your Salvation will remain intact....” there is NO Condemnation” for a Believer .....that guy will just show up on a Judgement Day with a bunch of welts on his rear end because God had to take him to the “ Woodshed” over and over.......be smart....obey God....stay out of that Woodshed.....I have been there a time or two.....it ain’t no fun...

Jesus said this:

Matthew 10:28
[28] And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

If you can sin any sin you want and still be saved, WHO CARES ABOUT THIS LIFE!

As long as I will be in heaven while still sinning, who really cares what happens in this life.

Besides, even righteous people suffer in this life (see Job).

Your logic is flawed. Inspired by a flawed doctrine.

I don't think anyone argues that we have within ourselves the power to believe. We believe in God through the power of God's gift of assurance and certainty (a.k.a. faith). Osas says you'll always avail yourself of that power. Anti-osas says you have the choice not to. But the important point here is that you do. Everyone agrees on that.
So you have the power to turn and reject what god started, to overcome God and walk away because he is not faithful.

I do not think you understand what your saying my friend,

WOW - what a completely ignorant understanding of what Purgatory (Final Purification) is.
It has NOTHING to do with what YOU just posted.

Perhaps that is the crux of your problem - ignorance, not actual rejection.
You have to know what you're talking about to be able to "reject" it.

We read about prayers for the dead in 2 Macc. 42:46, something STILL practiced by Orthodox Jews to this day.
We read about the process of purification from Paul:
1 Cor. 3:10-15
“According to the grace of God given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building upon it. But each one must be careful how he builds upon it, for no one can lay a foundation other than the one that is there, namely, Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, the work of each will come to light, for the Day (judgment) will disclose it. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each one’s work. If the work stands that someone built upon the foundation, that person will receive a wage. But if someone’s work is burned up, that one will SUFFER LOSS; the person WILL be saved, but only as through fire."

This cannot be Heaven because the person will SUFFER ‐ and there is NO suffering in Heaven.
This cannot be Hell because the person will be SAVED ‐ ad there is NO salvation in Hell.
This is describing a THIRD state – a state of Final Purification.

In Mal. 3:3, Jer. 6:27‐30, Ezek. 22:18, Psalm 119:119, Psalm 37:20, Zech. 13:9 and Isa. 48:10, God is the "Refiner" who burns away the impurities to get to the precious metal – the gold and silver. Rev. 21:27 tells us that NOTHING that s impure or imperfect can enter Heaven.

Finally, Matt. 12:32 states, “whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come”, which indicates that there is purification after death for some. Matt. 18:32-35 and Luke 12:58-59 are additional verses that support this doctrine.

Now, instead of simplistic and ignorant rejections - how about a SCRIPTURAL refutation??

You said you weren't doing it to convert anyone. Have you changed your mind and now it is an evangelical effort on your part?
I'm not.
I'm simply outting the truth out there - and stamping oiut YOUR lies so that those reading the posts won't be seduced by them.

Come on, no one said the people of God are invisible. Come on, man. You seem to just want to be difficult.
Actually - that's NOT true.
One of the most frequent debates I get tinto with Protestants and anti-Catholics here is the idiotic idea that the Church is "invisible".

Since YOU reject the Catholic Church - where was the Church for the first 1500 years??
Every anti-Cathlic I talk to says that it was a "Hidden remnant" of true believers - and are NEVER able to provide evidence for that.

What say YOU??

Don't be angry, no one is forcing you to join us which are saved.

1 Cor 1:18
... us which are saved it is the power of God.
I think it's against Forum rules for you to judge me not a Christian. What don't I believe? OSAS? True, but I believe in Jesus of the Bible, the Savior!

Luke 6:37 (NKJV)
37 "Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
