That if such and such turns out to be true I will go ahead and eat my such and such book? Ezekiel 3:1.

Not really. But that doesn't mean to say that it isn't funny.

But FYI this section of scripture is about ingesting the truth of God's message. Internalizing it. Sweet in the mouth but it turns your stomach at the same time. IOW not really good news about the future even if you are prepared.

People call the Bible the Word of God and who is this verse speaking about...? Is it Jesus?

"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." John 1:14

What does Jesus tells us here?

Joh 6:48 I am that bread of life.
Joh 6:49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
Joh 6:50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
Joh 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
Joh 6:52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?
Joh 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
Joh 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

So then who would we say was speaking to the prophet, Ezekiel 500 years before Jesus was born to Mary in Bethlehem?

"Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel.
So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll.
And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness.
And he said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with my words unto them." Ezekiel 3:1-4

The "roll" is the scroll, the written Book, the Word of God... Was it Jesus indeed who told us to eat his flesh. When we read the Bible are we eating the flesh of Jesus? When it is within and brought to Life by the Holy Spirit in us, is what we read not also the Word of God?
