Here's what your Barack thinks about God and His word...

Not following your logic. Why would legal technicalities matter to a conspiracy that served as the "real" power? Wouldn't that imply them being above the law?

    Like a Box of Chocolates……………!

I think a good word for my own generation (20 years old, for reference) is disillusioned. It's a term with negative connotations, but of course, not everything is an illusion. There's more going on in their behavior than just apathy- I'd describe it as a carefully choosing when and how to care...

"We live in a time where evil is called good and good evil"

(Christina;68286) All things must be weighed against the scripture the Book the Word was made flesh (Christ) first was the Word Yes. So please help me do this.

"We live in a time where evil is called good and good evil"

All right, having read that, it's the start of verse 21 that has my attention. What does it mean when we are called to "Prove all things"?

"We live in a time where evil is called good and good evil"

(Christina;68264) PLEASE LET ME MAKE THIS CLEAR THIS IS A CHRISTIAN BIBLE STUDY SITE PERIOD we do not study philosophy or religion ...or their denominations all are of men .. I'm not hoping to study philosophy or religion. I'm hoping this community can help me learn more of God's word, on the...

"We live in a time where evil is called good and good evil"

The thread heading is a phrase I've seen used by several times on this forum, by Christina and (I think) one or two others. I felt an examination of it would warrant a thread of its own.I don't disagree with the comment per se- I just think that it applies equally well to every time that's...

    Haircut!

I don't think the length of one's hair is important in and of itself. If he cut it as a part of a larger personal transformation, if it had a deeper significance for him- then that makes it something meaningful.

    A week of unbelievers.

(Alpha and Omega;68026) It's not about popular support. Let me rephrase that: People believing an idea is true doesn't prove that the idea is true.

    UFO do they exisit?

Nonsense, there's no such thing as a UFO. All flying objects throughout human history have been immediately identifiable.

    A week of unbelievers.

(Alpha and Omega;67953) Another point to add when someone says God or Jesus are just like fairy tails or Santa Claus etc is also not a logical comparison. How many people does anyone know come to believe in Santa at the age of 30 or 40 or 50. None I would say. However how many people come to...

    A week of unbelievers.

(Christina;67935) Ive always found it intriguing that atheist devote so much of their time and effort trying to disprove something they do not believe exists .. I would not waste a minute of my time trying to prove little green men or fairies don't exist ..if I didn't believe it That's not how...

    Gay/Lesbian

(marksman;67907) Homosexuality itself is part of the whole which produces rebelliousness in society, one which says “God we don’t need you, we can work out our own salvation.” This attitude has given us the new god of tolerance and none acceptance of absolutes. I'd put it a little differently...

What do Rainbows mean to You?

It's an apt metaphor. Without rain the skies would be forever pleasant- but they'd never know the beauty of a rainbow, and the land below would wither and die.

British Police Turn Tail and Run From Angry Muslims

I'm not sure I follow how the phrase "Allahu Akbar" is offensive, except if you're offended by the concept of an individual's muslim faith. (If it's just distressing but not offensive, that I can follow)Also, if these were christian protestors, would we be celebrating the video as a...

    Gay/Lesbian

(Wayne Murray;67517) Spin you web spider, love is a wide range spectrum from love of family to love of your pet or even love of your favorite food. Please note that I acknowledge this and am in turn asking whether a specific form of love-that between a husband and wife as God intends- can be...
