Science is cool.
However, we should all understand that by definition science is merely a quest, or a question asked and answered correctly or incorrectly based on partial information. It's like looking for an address with a few hints rather than complete directions--which is better than nothing, but does not really qualify as authoritative.
Another such quest, is medicine...which at least is rightly called "practice." Scientists should be so humble.
It happens that nothing humans can do better to understand the way the physical universe works. It can't show you God, but if you're receptive to His presence, it can deepen and enrich your faith as it did for Dr. Collins.
Years ago, I was in a nature preserve, just enjoying the show. Lots of birds, surprisingly a pair of nesting anhinga. A dapper little night heron strutted across the clearing. I had been thinking about life and how beautiful living things can be. My camera was in my hands, so when this happened directly overhead...
I almost got it perfectly. And I'm filled with awe at a God Who made a world that produces such beautiful things.
