Revelation 20:15
King James Version

15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

if you believe Jesus is the only one who can keep you from hell. Remember! amen

I was a Hindu as a child, but became a Christian in 2021, because I fear that I will be thrown into the lake of fire. What if my name is not found in the book of life?☹️

The Holy Spirit warned me beforehand️

Revelation 20:15 only happens AFTER Christ first reigns over the unsaved nations for a "thousand years" with His elect of the "first resurrection".

The devil will be locked in his pit prison and not allowed to deceive those unsaved nations during that "thousand years".

There will be converts to Jesus Christ of those unsaved nations during the "thousand years".

Once the "thousand years" is complete, the devil will be loosed to tempt those new converts to Christ.

Then the FINAL Judgment.

Any of those new converts names found written in the Book of Life are then joined with Christ's elect of the "first resurrection." All... others go into the "lake of fire" along with the devil, and the wicked, and the abode of hell, and the concept of death.

God's new heavens, and new earth then manifests for Eternity. The wicked and unsaved shall not see it.

You've said it perfectly Siddhi! Continue believing Jesus, for this shows your name is recorded in the book of life! Christians no longer need fear the second death (lake of fire) because our names are written in heaven and shall never be blotted out, because when you were born again the life you received through Christ is FOREVER!

Dear Siddhi. If you have trusted in the death and resurrection of Jesus from the dead as payment for your sin debt, your name is found in the book. It was written there before god created the Universe, and it only took time for you to find that glorious truth to be yours!

Hi Siddhi,

God is dividing "the light from the darkness", which does not include a "must be an informed Christian" stipulation. The word of God is to "every nation and people"--as it is written. Which is to say, none are actually left ignorant of the gospel of Jesus Christ--God speaks in many ways, and differently to different people. Take babies for instance. Even hearing they do not understand even their own parents for a time, and when they do, they may not hear them sharing Christ. But there is no blind spot with God. Did even the men traveling with Paul on the road to Damascus hear the Lord speak to him? No, but God has set before each one of them--and all people--"life and death, blessing and cursing" that all may have the opportunity to choose life and live forever.

As for you--you are on safe ground, walk in the light of Christ, and pray for those who see and hear but may not yet perceive the choice set before them.

PS, As for Hindus and others, they are not exceptions to the salvation plan of God if they never hear of it as you have heard it...and yet upon hearing of Christ, that becomes the choice of "life or death, blessing or cursing." Others, who have not heard of Christ, are still under the same choice by God in a way of His choosing--but pray for them. Nevertheless, the life of all is in His hands.

Siddhi, trust Jesus, trust God, trust the Holy Spirit (like you've been doing), and don't worry about what's in some book that was written before the foundation of the world.

never blotted out?

Jesus did speak about this, and the idea also appears in other parts of Scripture. The warning is real, and it calls us to remain faithful.

Here are the key verses:

1. Revelation 3:5 (ASV)
“He that overcometh shall thus be arrayed in white garments; and I will in no wise blot his name out of the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.”

This is Jesus speaking. He gives a promise, but also a warning. He says the one who overcomes will not have their name removed. This means the opposite is possible for those who do not overcome.

2. Exodus 32:32–33 (ASV)

“…blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written. And Jehovah said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.”

Here we see the same idea long before. God removes the one who continues in sin.

3. Revelation 22:19 (ASV)
“And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city…”

This again shows a person can lose their place if they turn away from the truth.

Jesus is showing that salvation is not just a one-time claim. It is a path we must walk.

To “overcome” means to stay faithful, to obey His words, and not turn back.

As Jesus said in John 8:51:
“If a man keep my word, he shall never see death.”

God writes names in the book of life, but a person must remain in Him. If someone turns away, lives in sin, or rejects His word, their place is not guaranteed. and that is the truth of scripture.

If we stay with Him, listen to Him, and walk in His ways, our name will remain, and He will confess us before the Father.

We either choose to believe Christ when He tells us the life we receive when we are born again is FOREVER, or we can choose to force contradictions into the Word of God. There is a difference in being blotted out of the book that registers our mortal birth, and the book of life the registers our name there forever that as John has written can NEVER be blotted out. Siddhi understands that we are not saved according to our work of faith, but by the faith that comes to us according to God's grace, the work of Jesus Christ our eternal Lord and Savior who shall save His people and lose none of them.

Will we be among the DEAD at the great white throne judgment, being judged according to what is written in the book(S) about our life or will be among the eternally living, having our names found written in the book (one) of life? I believe Christ when He tells me my name shall be in His book FOREVER, because my salvation is OF the Lord, for He shall save His people from their sins!

Revelation 20:12 (KJV) And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Revelation 20:14-15 (KJV) And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

If a person's name is not in the Book of Life, that person does not go to heaven (see Revelation 3:5, 13:8, 17:8, 20:12, 20:15, 21:27, 22:19 and Philippians 4:3).

See also Romans 9:19-33.

Following the thousand year reign of Jesus, a final test will be given to all the earthly subjects-those that are resurrected and those that survive the "great tribulation." (Revelation 7:14) This test starts by Satan being released from the abyss. Those, now in perfect condition both physically and spiritually; who succumb to his influences, and oppose God’s sovereignty will be destined also to the “lake of fire.”-Revelation 20:14.

Keep in mind that this is not an “Adamic” death. (Romans 5:12; 1 Corinthians 15:21, 22) This is a symbolic of another kind of death, one that is without reversal-an eternal death.
