What does God like best about a forever burning hell?

Eternal punishment for a finite crime?

Is God in the business of punishment, or the business of reconciliation?

Did Jesus die to save us from God?
Punishment for rejecting the Lord Jesus Christ who died to save all but is rejected by some.

By some?
How does that fit your broad and narrow way claims?
Only "some" take the broad way? (many there be...)

Countless billions have gone to the afterlife with no knowledge of Christ.
There are still unreached people groups today.

Where is the justice in your position?

Some is an undefined quantity greater than one. It can also mean "many" ....google it

Countless billions? You nit-pic at my use of "some" and then claim there are "countless" billions? How high can you count?

Everyone will be judged in righteousness. Do you think God will not do what is right? Do you have any faith in God's justice? Do you think your understanding surpasses His? I trust God to do the right thing. You should as well.

Not hard to figure out. What's the population of China?
Multiply by thousands of years. Should be billions.

Everyone will be judged in righteousness.
Agree. But not according to you.
Do you think God will not do what is right?
Yes. But not according to you.
Do you have any faith in God's justice?
Yes. But not according to you.
Do you think your understanding surpasses His?
No. But not according to your position.

I do. But not according to your position.

I do. But not according to your position.
No, He is just, but you reject it. You somehow think you are in a position to judge God when he punishes. Good luck with that.

Tell me how many billion then.

I agree that God is just, but that's not what you believe.
You believe He sends people to burn forever for refusing a free gift.
How is that just?

I believe what the bible clearly states. You wrest, twist and even dismiss the scriptures to conform God to your understanding of justice. I have faith that God will do whatever is just even if I don't see it as such from my limited view. Is it just for a child to be born with horrendous deformities or even to die at birth? Why do some have all they need while some starve? Is God unjust because He doesn't deal with all in the same manner?

But the free gift is only there because mankind rebelled against God. God Who is perfectly holy, decreed that those who sin deserve His judgment. We reads in the bible, and surely know from our own experience, that we are all sinners. Just think of Jesus Christ's summary of the commandments, where He says:

(Mar 12:30) AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.' This is the first commandment.

Which of us would claim to do that every moment of our lives? Yet because of His mercy and grace, God sent His Son to be the Saviour from the deserved punishment for sin, so that all who believe on Him are saved. Those who refuse to believe, and go to hell, are not there only for refusing God's free gift, but for all the sins which they have committed against God.

It's not a free gift if it comes with strings attached.

The consequences. ???
- If you refuse the "Free Gift" of salvation
- If you walk away from the church
- If you question the church
- If you are not "faithful" until the end (whatever that means)

--- PARODY ---

Person #1: Receive the free gift of eternal life.
Person #2: No thanks.
Person #1: I said it was free.
Person #2: There must be some strings attached.
Person #1: Well, of course.
Person #2: It's not a free gift then, right?
Person #1: You had better take it... or else!
Person #2: Say what?
Person #1: Otherwise you will be incinerated!
Person #2: What sort of free gift is that?

Indeed.

That saw cuts both ways.
You are trying to convince me that "all" (the whole world) does not mean all.
Jn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

As we see above...God loved the whole world and gave His son for it but only those that believe shall have everlasting life.

Actually, the purpose of this thread is to undermine the scriptures, cast doubt on the word of God and replace the true gospel with some universal invention of satan. The "universalism" false gospel has every element of the original lie that satan told Eve "you shall not surely die"

@St. SteVen You are questioning point 5 of Christianity Boards' statement of faith, regarding the Bible and its authenticity, which is a closed-handed issue. It is the primary source for Christian practices and doctrine. It is the authoritative standard against which all our knowledge of God and his purposes are to be tested. This has put you in breach of forum rules. This thread is now closed.
