A couple reasons why it does not work is that we need the rich to make Jobs, and then the annanias and saphira thingy.

I heard a pastor say many years ago, he would trade wallets with anyone in his congregation.
He went on to say, that he would trade bank accounts with anyone in his congregation.

If a pastor has another position, he stands in the shadow of that moderate means pastor.

His name was Lester Roloff.
The earth was never his home.

It takes a perfect world for socialism to work.

Remember Paul worked and earned his own money.
Wealth is relative.
I am a little prejudice because my dad was raised on the farm.
Men were measured back then by how hard they worked.
So I am also a hard worker.
I am old and still do home remodeling and demolition, mechanic work, and landscaping.

So my ways are different.

My boys also work hard.

I can not be around freeloaders that are able to work, but don't.

"REQUIRED to be saved"????

Selling their possessions was a RESPONSE to being saved, not a REQUIREMENT for being saved.

I really don't want to go here, but I think it's necessary: Ask yourself: If Jesus personally asked you to sell your possessions, give the proceeds to the poor, and follow Him (see Matthew 19:20-22 and synoptic parallels) would you do it? If not, how can you say you have faith in Him? I'm not sure I like the answer.

They were living in extreme times where the state was against Christians so during times like this they had no choice but to all live together in a commune type situation and share all their resources with one in other.

Keep in mind the Lord had told them to go out in to all the world and share the gospel with all people all over the world and yet they were being disobedient and were hanging around together in Jerusalem which is one of numerous reasons why the Lord allowed the Romans to destroy Jerusalem so Christians would disperse and start going out in to the world.

Galatians 6:10
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

We should seek to bless those of the household of faith first, but in these last times it's getting hard and harder to find rteal Christians to be a blessing to.

About 20 years ago, there was a girl in the same area, by the name of Hannah Overton, that was accused of poisoning a little boy that she had adopted, that was a crack baby.
That little boy was messed up and she did what she could to try to be a mother and accept him into their family.
That kid had an obsession for salty spicy food, and got into some kind of seasoning and got salt poisoning.
She thought he had the flu, and Didn't know what was makung him sick, any eventually taken to the hospital.
She didn't know what was wrong with him, and the hospital didn't know what was wrong with him. So the hospital gave him IV SALINE solution.
In other words, the hospital killed the little boy by finishing him off with more salt.
So Hannah is charged with murder and put on trial.
Her own Doctor was not allowed to testify at the trial.
So she got a life sentence with no possibility of parole. A year so later, as she was serving her sentence, a TV program (2020) got ahold of her story.
And got ahold of the truth. And not only did she get a new trial, she was acquitted, and she got a huge lawsuit from that town that falsely prosecuted her.
That poor girl did nothing wrong.
But apparently you're not aware that there's an evil system out there, that will take down and destroy Christians if they can possibly do it.

You know, like you try to do with Brother Roloff.

I bet you hate it when the evil attacks by satan, are exposed like in the Hannah Overton case, and good prevails over EVIL ACCUSATIONS.

Yes, Acts 2:38-46, Acts 8:15-17 taught how believers were saved and what was required to receive the HS < Repent, water baptize, pray & lay hands.
At that time Gal 3:28, 1 Cor 12:13, Col 3:11, Gal 6:15 was NOT APPLICABLE where today it is
How do believers 'TODAY' receive the HS ?
1 Cor 15:1-4, Eph 1:13 BELEIVE that Gospel, no water baptize, no lay hands, no praying by others.

Hello fellow SA boy, glad to see you also correctly understand and divide Scripture for today.
Acts 2:44-45, Acts 4:37-44 is nowhere taught in Paul's Gospel
Back then ALL sold everything and ALL were together, not some but ALL
If Paul teaches the same Gospel as Peter then where does Paul mention the same and if not, why not ?
Eph 1:13, same with receiving the HS, no lay hands or pray was required as in Acts 8:14-17.
Gal 2:7-9 in the old Bibles confirm why.
Paul taught the UNcircumcison Gospel - Gal 1:11-12, 1 Cor 15:1-4, Eph 1:13
Peter taught the circumcision Gospel - Acts 2:37-45. Acts 8:14-17
Then, 2 Gospels with now only 1 being in operation - Gal 1:11-12, 1 Cor 15:1-4, Eph 1:13
