What ? In verse 21. And in verse 28, Jesus brings the Jews from among the nations into the land of Israel.

Ezekiel 39:21-29 is about Jesus having returned to this earth, and reflecting back over the past, and His gathering the Jews to land of Israel. The Jews (of Judaism) call that gathering - "the final redemption". They just don't believe that Jesus is going to do it. Matthew 24:31 is that gathering.

Ezekiel 39:21-29KJV
21 And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.
22 So the house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God from that day and forward.
23 And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.
24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them.
25 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;
26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.
27 When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;
28 Then shall they know that I am the Lord their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.
29 Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord God.

A better understanding of the quoted passage is: -

1783224149914.png

God foretold to Jacob that He would scatter his descendants to the four corners of the earth,

When the Hebrew text is translated correctly, the resulting outcome is very different to the outcome you want to happen.

It's my opinion that Daniel's (Little Horn) Paul's (Man Of Sin) John's (The Beast) all represent the very same future human man that has a literal body that dies or is destroyed, this future individual human man is also referred to as (The Antichrist) by many as a catch all phrase for the 3 names
. . . and there will be considerable disagreement about whomever the man of sin really is until the great apostasy culminates in all the boxes being ticked.

2Th 2:3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,

There are many translations that differ from the KJV. The question you must answer for yourself is, "Is the KJV contextually, right?"

David, I went to the Bible Hub site, and typed in Ezekiel 39:28. Ezekiel 39:28 - Israel to Be Restored

Here is what it has for the New King James Version (which is not the translation that Jay copied and pasted)....

New King James Version
then they shall know that I am the LORD their God, who sent them into captivity among the nations, but also brought them back to their land, and left none of them captive any longer.

Douggg out of curiosity, when do you think God will or did pour out his spirit on the house of Israel?

Ezk 39:29 Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.

Peter quoting Joel says God poured out his spirit on all flesh, including the house of Israel, at Pentecost.

The only difference with that verse is that Jay (for some reason) replaced the word "land" with "soil/field." In the long passage he quotes, he seems to put the words that he has changed in bold. All the rest seems to match the NKJV. Perhaps he will settle the matter for us.

David you are right. The only differences with the NKJV translation, I had quoted, are my corrections for how H:0127, which has the meaning of soil, has been wrongly translated as either earth or land in many of the translations. Translating H:0127 as either "earth" or "land" gives the wrong context for the translated Hebrew text where the embedded Hebrew Root word H:0127 is found.

Sadly, Dougggg is not able to understand that the KJV and also the NKJV, plus many other translations, have contextual errors in them.

I also quoted Genesis 28:13-15 which clearly foretold that God intended to scatter Jacob's descendants throughout the whole earth to be a blessing for all of the people who will live around them at that time, which is still in the future event that will happen, who would join them in taking root in God's fertile soil/field to develop an intimate relationship with God where they too will worship the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as their God.

Jesus told the Parable of the Sower, who walked on a journey to His fertile soil to scatter his seed over God's fertile soil/field, to explain the future gathering of many nations to Himself, who will receive their inheritance from Him at the time of the Great Judgement of all of the peoples of the earth.

Jeremiah 31:31ff speaks of God renewing the Kingdom of Priests, a Holy Nation and His Possession among the Nations Covenant which He had originally established with the nation of Israel at Mt Sinai, but which they rejected while Moses was up on the Mountains speaking with God Face to Face.

Dougggg always askes this question of "what translation I have quoted" as a means of putting down what I might post, which questions his understanding of God's intended purposes for mankind.

God in Genesis 12:3 tells us this: -

Perhaps we today should look who we chose to draw our nourishment from?

You are changing the text of the NKJV, making up your own translation ? You dont even have the Strong's number correct. It is H127, not H0127.

Here is the Jews' translation of that verse (from the online Tanach at the Chabad. org site)....

Ezekiel 39:
28 And they will know that I am the Lord their God when I exile them to the nations, and I shall gather them to their land, and I shall no longer leave any of them there.

Thanks, Douggg for pointing out another translation that has wrongly translated H:0127.

As for getting the Strong's number wrong, yet you did understand what I had posted, therefore how I had presented the Strong Number was contextually correct, not like how the Hebrew Text with respect to words with the embedded Hebrew Root word H:0127 has been wrongly translated.

Thanks. Regarding the word which you say should be translated "fertile soil", that doesn't always work. For example, Psalm 137 is about the Captivity in Babylon. Verse 4 (NKJV) says:

(How shall we sing the LORD's song In a foreign land?

It wouldn't make sense to translate it as "fertile soil", because the Jews were not in fertile soil.

Although I don't know Hebrew, the lexicons and concordances I have looked at say that the Hebrew word can mean: "soil, country, earth, ground or land."

H:0127 is embedded in many Hebrew words and each Hebrew word with the embedded Hebrew Root word, H:0127, has its own meaning.

The Psalm chosen highlights for us.

The variations of H:0127 embedded in various Hebrew words and the number of each variation is listed below.

1783344081936.png

And the third listed variant of the Hebrew word with the H:0127 Hebrew Root Word embedded within it are found in the following verses: -

1783344433839.png

Then Psalm 137 makes sense if it is paraphrased in this manner: -

A lot of thought and research is needed to uncover this different understanding from what our translations convey.

I hope the above is healpful.

Jay, at the bible hub site, all of the translations in English for Ezekiel 39:28 simply say "land". Except for one translation, the New Living Translation, that says "home".

New Living Translation:
Ezekiel 39:28Then my people will know that I am the LORD their God, because I sent them away to exile and brought them home again. I will leave none of my people behind.

Oh dear, Douggggggg,

If we consider the Genesis 47:20-26 passage, we read that The Egyptians sold the portions of their land that they used to grow their crops upon, i.e. the land which had soil, not the land that had sand or rock over its surface. Joseph, by doing this, forced the Egyptians became the slaves of the Pharoh

Theologically, God promised that He would bring the nation of Israel back to live within His "fertile soil" where they could send their roots down into His Soil to receive God's perfect nourishment. God will gather Israel Back to Himself when His purposes for the nation of Israel is completed. As such God will keep the Israelites scattered among the nations until the final time of the Judgement as His Priests.

Sadly Douggg, you blindly accept how the scholars have translated the Hebrew and Greek texts without validating the contextual accuracy of the translations.

Goodbye Dougggggggggggie.
