Oh Sure, Big SmilesEzekiel 39:21-29 is about Jesus having returned to this earth, and reflecting back over the past
What ? In verse 21. And in verse 28, Jesus brings the Jews from among the nations into the land of Israel.
Ezekiel 39:21-29 is about Jesus having returned to this earth, and reflecting back over the past, and His gathering the Jews to land of Israel. The Jews (of Judaism) call that gathering - "the final redemption". They just don't believe that Jesus is going to do it. Matthew 24:31 is that gathering.
Ezekiel 39:21-29KJV
21 And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.
22 So the house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God from that day and forward.
23 And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.
24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them.
25 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;
26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.
27 When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;
28 Then shall they know that I am the Lord their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.
29 Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord God.

Jay, what translation are you copying and pasting from, because it reads different than the kjv ?A better understanding of the quoted passage is: -
. . . and there will be considerable disagreement about whomever the man of sin really is until the great apostasy culminates in all the boxes being ticked.It's my opinion that Daniel's (Little Horn) Paul's (Man Of Sin) John's (The Beast) all represent the very same future human man that has a literal body that dies or is destroyed, this future individual human man is also referred to as (The Antichrist) by many as a catch all phrase for the 3 names

Ezekiel 39:28 Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.
So which translation did you copy and paste from ?There are many translations that differ from the KJV.
It looks like the New King James Version to me.Jay, what translation are you copying and pasting from, because it reads different than the kjv ?

David, I went to the Bible Hub site, and typed in Ezekiel 39:28. Ezekiel 39:28 - Israel to Be RestoredIt looks like the New King James Version to me.
Douggg out of curiosity, when do you think God will or did pour out his spirit on the house of Israel?David, I went to the Bible Hub site, and typed in Ezekiel 39:28. Ezekiel 39:28 - Israel to Be Restored
Here is what it has for the New King James Version (which is not the translation that Jay copied and pasted)....
New King James Version
then they shall know that I am the LORD their God, who sent them into captivity among the nations, but also brought them back to their land, and left none of them captive any longer.
The only difference with that verse is that Jay (for some reason) replaced the word "land" with "soil/field." In the long passage he quotes, he seems to put the words that he has changed in bold. All the rest seems to match the NKJV. Perhaps he will settle the matter for us.David, I went to the Bible Hub site, and typed in Ezekiel 39:28. Ezekiel 39:28 - Israel to Be Restored

You are changing the text of the NKJV, making up your own translation ? You dont even have the Strong's number correct. It is H127, not H0127.David you are right. The only differences with the NKJV translation, I had quoted, are my corrections for how H:0127, which has the meaning of soil, has been wrongly translated as either earth or land in many of the translations. Translating H:0127 as either "earth" or "land" gives the wrong context for the translated Hebrew text where the embedded Hebrew Root word H:0127 is found.

Here is the Jews' translation of that verse (from the online Tanach at the Chabad. org site)....
Ezekiel 39:
28 And they will know that I am the Lord their God when I exile them to the nations, and I shall gather them to their land, and I shall no longer leave any of them there.
