The most compelling reason is because the temple of God is the human body and it’s not possible for The Antichrist to sit on that throne. Add to that the natural man is destroyed by the Lord coming into a believers life.
Absolute truth!
Every unsaved person is the potential temple of God in which God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit seek to dwell within. If they choose to not come to repentance and have faith in the Lord Jesus, before their mortal death, then the judgment of the 2nd death REMAINS upon them, which is total destruction for all eternity.

That would change scripture because both are written in the singular. It's like reading Abought Christ's mother Mary and claiming it should be understood as multiple Mary's despite not being written in a plural form.

The little horn is not the little horns.
The man of sin is not the men of sin.

The context of both passages are of a single man doing various things not many men.

Changes like this is where false doctrines come from.
No, you are making a futuristic connection for a "little horn", when there is no future for that which has already been historically fulfilled.
Please study the historic fulfillment of that prophecy in 1&2 Maccabees

Changes from what? The man made doctrines of church-ianity??

It used to be 7 years but CHrist said it would be shortened and we find in Rev that it is half the length now. The trib/great trib is a total of 42 months and there is no mid point mentioned in any scripture.
The entire Trib is 7 yrs.
The Great Trib, is the 42 months...= the 2nd Half.

Love ya Earburner, we been posting for a long time, reformed preterist eschatology is on the frindge and that's being nice

Jesus Is The Lord
Yes we have been posting for a long time, and it's good to know you in the Lord brother.

However, in all that we talk about, we are only observers in the Lord of how He works His will through time. That is why I always quote and point to all of 1 Cor. ch. 2.
It reminds us to know that we who are Born again, have the Mind of Christ within us, giving us the ability to "compare spiritual things with spiritual", whereas the mind of "the natural man" can only hear "the wisdom of men".

Therefore, all prophecy from the Lord, has and will have, historic fulfillment.
We must always discern the difference of that which is generated from His mind as opposed to that which is produced from our own mind of human wisdom"

I can be nice too:
If there are those who believe that my understanding is "on the fringe", I would say that it is due to the many who are "falling away" from faith in the truth.

The original timing of the "great tribulation" was the latter half of the Daniel 9:27 "one week" which that "one week" symbolizes seven years per the 70 weeks prophecy. That means 1260 days (2520 days / 2 = 1260).

That was the time length of the "great tribulation" before Lord Jesus shortened it per Matthew 24:22.

What He shortened it to is given in Revelation 9 about the time of the 'stinging' by the locusts, which involves being sealed with God's Seal. Only those WITHOUT God's Seal can be stung, and that only for "five months."

That stinging represents being deceived to the coming false-Messiah during the "great tribulation". Deception to a false Christ is the main weapon Satan is going to use for the "great tribulation", which is why it will be a time on earth that the likes of has never before been.

Yes you deny that (The Man Of Sin) will be a future literal human man, you symbolize this future literal man into no future existence, "sad"!

A Literal Human Man, Personal Pronouns "He" "His" "Him" "Himself"

2 Thessalonians 2:3-10KJV
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
So, we should be looking out for a literal human harlot woman, too, then, right?

Revelation 17:1 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, “Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, 2 with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.” 3 So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. 4 The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication.

Revelation 17:18 gives the literal interpretation of the "Woman" and its a "Great City" on this earth literally

Revelation 17:18
18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

(Jerusalem) Is The Whore, Mystery Babylon The Great.

The Levitical High Priest Dressing represents "The Woman", that is dressed in purple, scarlet, gold, and precious stones as seen below

(Revelation) 17:4KJV

4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

Yes "The Woman", The Levitical High Priest, Dressed In Purple, Scarlet, Gold, And Precious Stones

(Exodus) 28:15-20KJV
15 And thou shalt make the breastplate of judgment with cunning work; after the work of the ephod thou shalt make it; of gold, of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine twined linen, shalt thou make it.
16 Foursquare it shall be being doubled; a span shall be the length thereof, and a span shall be the breadth thereof.
17 And thou shalt set in it settings of stones, even four rows of stones: the first row shall be a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this shall be the first row.
18 And the second row shall be an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond.
19 And the third row a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst.
20 And the fourth row a beryl, and an onyx, and a jasper: they shall be set in gold in their inclosings.

(Jerusalem) is the seven Mount city, where the woman sits, not Rome as many falsely claim.

(Revelation) 17:9KJV

9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.

List of cities claimed to be built on seven hills - Wikipedia.
Jerusalem, Israel:
Jerusalem's seven hills are Mount Scopus, Mount Olivet and the Mount of Corruption (all three are peaks in a mountain ridge that lies east of the Old City), Mount Ophel, the original Mount Zion, the New Mount Zion and the hill on which the Antonia Fortress was built.

The Roman Empire didnt exist to be guilty of the Prophets blood seen below, Jerusalem did.

(Revelation) 18:24KJV

24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

(Matthew) 23:29-37KJV
29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.
32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

Jerusalem (The Woman) that (Great City) as seen below, Jerusalem where Jesus Christ was crucified

(Revelation) 17:18AKJV

18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

Jews/Hebrews cast dust upon their heads, weeping for the (Great City) Jerusalem

(Revelation) 18:19 AKJV

19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

B. The identifying characteristics of the power - (These describe what this lawless power is like):

  1. Self-exaltation
He “exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped.”
  2. Religious usurpation
He “sits in the temple of God,” meaning he takes a position inside the sphere of God’s worship and people.
  3. Claim of divine authority
He “shows himself that he is God,” meaning he claims authority that belongs only to God.
  4. Counterfeit spiritual power
His coming is “according to the working of Satan,” with signs, lying wonders, and deception.
  5. Opposition to truth
People are deceived because they do not receive the love of the truth.

SHORTCUT to his identity:

It will be SATAN himself, on earth, in plain sight.

That idea of "Counterfeit spiritual power" is only your supposition. Just the opposite idea is what is actually written that Christ showed in Matthew 24:23-26. That false one is to work great signs and wonders that IF IT WERE POSSIBLE, would deceive even Christ's "very elect." That in no way means 'counterfeit' miracles, but real... miraculous power. Revelation 13:11 forward says he will even cause fire (lightning) to come down from heaven.

God's parable of Ezekiel 28 using the "king of Tyrus" as a type for Lucifer, reveals that he will be destroyed while upon this earth, by a fire that will come within him. And people will see that happens is revealed there also...

Ezek 28:12-19
12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, "Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick;
therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.
KJV

That in red is about Satan being destroyed by the fire that comes down from Heaven at the end of Christ's future "thousand years" when Satan will lead the unsaved rebellious against the "camp of the saints" on earth (See Rev.20).

That above in red also cannot apply to ANY flesh born man, because no flesh born has been judged and sentenced to perish in the future "lake of fire" yet today. That final judgment into the future "lake of fire", called the "second death", will only happen at the end of Christ's future "thousand years" reign per Revelation 20.

This means then... Satan himself is coming to OUR earthly realm, in person, at the end of this world. And this is what the war in Heaven of Revelation 12:7 forward will actually be about. Satan is coming to our earthly dimension with his angels when they are kicked out of the Heavenly dimension. This is why the coming "great tribulation" will be great, and a time unlike any other on this present earth before.

Ok, but I would ask that you take your conclusion - satan, and show how he speaks to these markers. I provided the markers that are important in identifying the lawless one and the timing of his arrival, who or what was then restraining him, how it would be removed, etc., and then once that individual / power was identified, it would need to possess the characteristics found in section B. Satan does not meet these markers.

Now, I do believe God has provided more than enough information / markers in the Book of Daniel that allow us to identify this evil one. In addition to 2 Thesalonians, Revelation, he is described in Daniel 7, 8, 9 and 11. God has identified him as the little horn - not the antichrist or an antichrist, but the little horn. He has given us this title for us to focus on and apply all of the markers below to identify the one and only one that meets each of them.

So, who is the little horn and can you identify him by these markers? (I would suggest you might start with Daniel 7 - God has indeed given us plenty of information to his identity).

If you would like to walk through Daniel 7, 8, 9 or 11 slowly by verse we can do that...

A. The chronological sequence Paul gives - (These are the time-order elements):

  1. The Thessalonians are being deceived about the day of the Lord
Paul begins with: “Let no one deceive you.” The whole issue is whether Christ’s return had already come or was immediately present.
  2. The falling away must come first
Before the day of the Lord, there must be an apostasy — a departure from truth within the professed people of God.
  3. The mystery of lawlessness is already at work
The principle is already operating in Paul’s day, but not yet fully visible.
  4. Something is restraining it
The lawlessness is active, but prevented from reaching its full revealed form.
  5. The restraint must be removed
Paul says the restrainer continues “until he is taken out of the way.”
  6. Then the lawless one is revealed
The hidden principle becomes an identifiable power.
  7. This power continues until Christ destroys it at His coming
That means it cannot be merely a first-century figure who came and went. It continues until the final return of Christ.
So, before we go on to discuss the characteristics of the "man of lawlessness," can we use the above 7 markers to begin to discover this fellow?

B. The identifying characteristics of the power - (These describe what this lawless power is like):

  1. Self-exaltation
He “exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped.”

  5. Opposition to truth
People are deceived because they do not receive the love of the truth.
There are NO shortcuts in interpreting scripture!

1. In 2 Thess.2, Paul was having to repeat his message about the timing of Christ's future return, because there were some brethren (most likely crept in unawares) that were distorting it among the brethren, with some had even written letters and passed them off as being from the Apostles. Paul does not specifically point out there that they were teaching that Christ had already come.

2. Apostle Paul actually links the 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 events of the falling away and the revealing of the "man of sin" together. Some wrongly separate those two events, but the "falling away" Paul mentions is tied to the coming of that "man of sin" to sit in a stone temple in Jerusalem proclaiming himself as God, and over all that is called God, or that is worshiped. That event is also tied to Paul's "strong delusion" idea later in the Chapter.

3. My KJV has it as "mystery of iniquity" that is already at work. That is Paul pointing to the same thing that Apostle John did in 1 John 2:18 about the idea that the brethren had already heard that "antichrist" shall come, but that already there were "many antichrists" at work. Paul was pointing to Satan's elect workers, the children of darkness. Lord Jesus pointed to the same idea in Matthew 24 when He first warned to not allow any man to deceive us, because there would be 'many' coming that would 'say'... they are Christ. That's actually the same "many antichrists" and "mystery of iniquity" matter that Paul and John mentioned, just in a different wording.

In 1 John 2:18, John specifically showed a singular "antichrist" the brethren had already heard shall come, and then the "many antichrists" that were already at work. And the word "antichrist" in the Greek breaks down to mean the 'in place of Christ'. Per Matthew 24:23-26, Jesus is then describing the actual "antichrist", a singular pseudo-Christ that is to come and work those "great signs and wonders" that if it were possible, would deceive even Christ's very elect. The contrast then is, the many who only say they are Christ don't have the power of those miracles, but the one Jesus mentions in Matt.24:23-26 does, which points to the Antichrist putting himself in place of Christ, literally, with the power to actually deceive the whole world into believing it.

4. & 5. In Daniel 10:20-21, which that Daniel 10 Chapter is a description of parallel events that happen on earth and in Heaven, that Archangel Michael only is holding with Gabriel that "prince of Persia" which is used as a symbolic name for Satan. In the Daniel 12:1 verse (KJV), when Archangel Michael will "stand up", then comes the time of trouble at the end of this world pointing to the "great tribulation" marker that Jesus gave in Matthew 24:15-21.

The event suggested is the war of Revelation 12:7 forward that is actually about Satan and his angels being kicked out of the Heavenly dimension down to this earth in our earthly dimension. That will be when Archangel Michael stands up, and this is what I strongly believe Apostle Paul was referring to in 2 Thessalonians 2:6-8.

Notice the KJV translators put the word "Wicked" in capitals. That means "Wicked" as a proper name. Points directly to Satan as far as I'm concerned.

6. Paul then describes the same power of miracles of signs and wonders that Jesus described about the pseudo-Christ in Matthew 24:23-26 that if it were possible, would deceive even Christ's very elect. In Revelation 13:4-8 we are given an even stronger clue that He was pointing to Satan, because the title of "dragon" is just another name for Satan...

Rev 13:4-8
4 And
they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, "Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?"

5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, and His tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

8
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
KJV

The 'beast' concept in Revelation is about two different things, a kingdom, and a king. One must be careful in paying attention which one the Scripture is referring to. Satan as that "dragon" is who will give power to his beast kingdom when he comes to Jerusalem and sets himself up as God on earth, again.

Something I am amazed at by brethren who claim they study their Bible is how many are ignorant of just what specific sin it was that Lucifer did to cause his original fall. Lucifer wanted to be GOD, and worshiped as GOD. Thus the ultimate part player for that role is Satan himself, and not some flesh born man that doesn't have the power of those great signs and wonders.

There are NO shortcuts in interpreting scripture!

1. Exactly what Lucifer did at his original fall, even drawing one third of the angels into rebellion with him. God using the "king of Tyrus", and "Pharaoh" as types for Satan in Ezekiel 28 and Isaiah 14, showed what Lucifer's sin was. He coveted God's Throne which was his job to guard as a 'covering cherub.' There is no stronger example of one exalting himself above God than what Lucifer did at his original rebellion. A flesh born man doing it cannot even come close as a comparison to Lucifer doing that.

2. Bad interpretation by men's doctrines you are following, because Paul was pointing directly to a STONE TEMPLE in Jerusalem, NOT the Church nor some other religion.

Christ's TRUE CHURCH cannot be corrupted; not by any man, nor angel, not even by Satan himself. A believer who allows themselves to be deceived and trusts in men's doctrines over what God's written Word teaches cannot rightly claim to still be a member in good standing in Christ's True Church of The Spirit. Christ's True Church, like Apostle Paul taught in Ephesians 2, is made up of the prophets, Apostles, with Lord Jesus as its Chief Corner Stone, so how can that be corrupted?? It cannot. Those deceived corrupt themselves by what they follow, and thus will be 'cut off' from the True Church by The Holy Spirit if they do not repent.

3. Apostle Paul's description is in the greater sense that the "man of sin" will actually proclaim himself as GOD. That's a whole... lot different than saying he will claim divine authority that belongs to God. There's been all sorts of the "many antichrists" that have claimed to be Christ with also claiming divine authority from God. The way your wording on that is, is designed to steer one away from the fact that Paul's "man of sin" will actually play Christ here on earth with the power of miracles to cause the whole world to believe it, except for Christ's very elect (as per Rev.13:4-8).

4. It won't be counterfeit miracles. It will be actual real... miracles. Again, adding words like counterfeit is part of men's traditions designed to steer brethren away from the idea of that coming "man of sin" actually being Satan himself coming to play Messiah.

When Lord Jesus said those miracles will be so powerful that IF it were possible, it would deceive even Christ's "very elect", that is about His servants at the end that are Sealed with God's Seal by The Holy Spirit and thus cannot be deceived. So a show of miracles so powerful that it would almost... deceive Christ's very elect, is a type of measure Lord Jesus gave us about those miracles. And the word 'counterfeit' certainly does not fit.

5. That is exactly correct. Not everyone is given to understand that it will be Satan himself coming to play Christ at the end in Jerusalem. Don't ask me, only God knows why. Yet Lord Jesus still pointed to this fact in Matthew 13 when He was asked why He spoke to the multitudes in parable, and said that the mysteries of the kingdom of Heaven was given to His disciples to know, but to the multitudes it was not given.

Daniel 7 is the chapter where God first introduces us to this little horn character. This is where you must focus, not in Revelation or copying general comments someone else wrote about 2 Thessalonians.

Daniel is telling us all about him... when he arrives, where he comes from, what he will do, who will he go against, and so much more. Paul is commenting on the same actor telling us more information ... but he is not speaking about satan and the end times. So, please try and interpret Daniel 7 - this is where God tells us about him.

Here is where you might want to start - this is the first mention of the little horn.

7“After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. 8I was considering the horns, and there was another horn, a little one, coming up among them, before whom three of the first horns were plucked out by the roots. And there, in this horn, were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking [c]pompous words.

The fourth beast in this verse comes right after the 3rd beast - which is Greece. So, does that tell you the 4th beast must be Rome? Does satan come out of Rome? And the timing - when did Rome come to power and how long did Rome last (pagan Rome specifically)? Do the characteristics identify with pagan Rome? But Daniel tells us this 4th beast will be very different than the other beasts - different than Babylon, Medes-Persia, and Greece.... how so? Because we will see 10 horns and another little horn coming out of it.... this is just the INTRODUCTION TO THIS 4TH BEAST AND THE HORNS.

Do you think Daniel began this chapter discussing the first 3 kingdoms found in the chapter 2 metal man image and then jumps to satan in the end times? God had given us the 4 historical kingdoms in chapter 2 so we can easily identify them. Now in chapter 7 he is taking us by the hand to reveal the changes that will take place within those same 4 kingdoms. And notice where the changes are coming - in the 4th kingdom of pagan Rome that comes after Greece. So, here is where we need to ask ourselves what are these two changes, why have they come about, when they come about... etc. Daniel is all about the coming Messiah and His plan of restoration - He is writing to His people and His city = most of Daniel speaks to the time period 606 BC to the end of the 70 weeks of years prophecy... and then what happens after the cross up to the coming of the little horn. Chapter 11 goes into great detail about the post-cross events, but here in chapter 7 God gives us so much to use...

So, who is the little horn and can you identify him by these markers? (I would suggest you might start with Daniel 7 - God has indeed given us plenty of information to his identity).

Daniel 7 is the chapter where God first introduces us to this little horn character. This is where you must focus, not in Revelation or copying general comments someone else wrote about 2 Thessalonians.

No, you cannot try and LIMIT a Bible Scripture by itself when rightly interpreting God's written Word. If Revelation or another Bible Book has a direct link to the Daniel 7 prophecy, then it MUST be included, otherwise it's like building a car while forgetting one of its major components. And Christ's Book of Revelation is for that purpose, to reveal.

Per Daniel 7:7-8, the "little horn" appears among the "ten horns" that were just mentioned in association with a 4th beast.

Dan 7:7-9
7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and
it had ten horns.

8
I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

9
I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
KJV

The "little horn" comes up among the ten horns. Revelation 17 gives this exact parallel about the 7th beast king and the ten kings that receive no power until the beast king comes to power for "one hour."

Daniel 7:9 gives the timing of that "little horn" in relation to when those thrones are cast down. When will that be? At Christ's future 2nd coming, which parallels 2 Thessalonians 2 about the brightness of Christ's coming that will destroy the "man of sin" Paul spoke of.

That "little horn" will have the image of man, and thus "eyes of man". That simply means he will have the appearance of flesh man, which still does not prove it will be a flesh-born man, since the image of man originates from God's Own Image Likeness as also the angels, per Genesis 1:26-27, a Scripture that many seem to forget when they try and do wordplay with the idea of that word 'man'.

That "little horn" speaking great things is a parallel to the "dragon" of Revelation 13:4-8 speaking great things and blasphemies, blaspheming God, His Name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in Heaven, which must be understood as to what he will blaspheme, since he is coming to play GOD and demand to be worshiped as GOD, just as he did back when he first fell in coveting God's Throne for himself.

Again, just general comments .. begin with Daniel 7 and stay there. This is where God is teling us all about him. Who is this actor?

Impossible to rightly divide God's written Word and stay in ONLY the Daniel 7 Chapter about the symbolic "little horn", which is about Satan as the final beast king of this present world. Even in Daniel 8 another example of the "little horn" symbol is given which is directly connected to the "abomination of desolation" prophecy that Jesus quoted from the Book of Daniel in His Olivet discourse signs about the end of this world.

So it's foolishness to try and get the Bible student to stay only in Daniel 7 to define the "little horn".
