Having a lot of trouble with my tablet today regarding the touch screen. I tried wiping it with an optical cloth. Any ideas what's wrong? Also sometimes I hit on one thing but another thing above will respond instead. Only happening today.
Why does a tablet suddenly not respond to one's touch?

Everyone says just reset it and it will be all ok,sure but what about all my apps,you can then hear a pin drop
Try restarting the tablet and see if it fixes it. If not, the screen could be going bad. How old is the tablet?
I think this tablet is going on four years old. The touch screen seems to be ok now. Maybe all of the humidity we had lately for a long time affected it? Now we are getting down to the mid 80s and it's cooler at night again.

It's an Android. Yes I update all apps regularly.
Android. I do turn off my tablet daily and power it back on daily.
I had a recent update on my Vivaldi browser. I'm going to go clear the cache. Maybe when another update comes, the touch thing will clear itself.
I did clear the cache on the browser. Hopefully another update will come in soon on this browser. I do like it, no ads and can clean out cookies easily. Otherwise I will try your suggestion.

Good news. Apparently it was a glitch in my browser. Because I just got another update and now the screen is working ok again. Very glad.
