I believe that unbelief is the greatest Sin. I believe we have a form of Godliness without believing in His power.

I believe its a matter of indifference. Randall Price said it best in his book "Jerusalem in Prophecy" when he said and I quote:"Prophetic events tend to cast their shadows before them therefore it stands to reason that the closer we come to the tribulation the more we should see conditions surrounding the church age exhibiting the characteristics of that future ungodly era."End quote. Are we truly in that ungodly era?

I think lying is the most committed sin..everyone seems to lie and everyone on TV is always lying , in sitcoms and stuff.

It is hard to put just one at the top of the list because we fail him in so many ways. But I still lean more towards the spirit of unbelief. There are to many that know scriptures but have little faith in the power behind the words.

What do you believe America's greatest sin is?
Apostasy! Read into the history of America, when the pilgrims came over with there Geneva bibles, they came for freedom of religion. They built a Christian country We have fallen a long way!

Hi setfree,America's greatest sin is forgetting God in our daily living. All through the Old Testament that sin surfaces as the cause for God to abandon His own people. Joshua 1:16-17, "And they answered Joshua, 'All that you have commanded us we will do, and wherever you send us we will go. Just as we obeyed Moses in all things, so we will obey you.' "Did they remember to do that? Not for long. And when Moses was up on the mountain getting the commandments from God, the people forgot about the fact that God, through Moses, had delivered them from Egypt, and they induced Aaron to make a false god in the form of a golden calf, Exodus 32:1-6. They forgot, within 40 days, the God who delivered them from Egypt! That's what Paul wrote about in Romans 1:18-21, "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth ..." Forgetting God is the inclination of Fallen man before he is regerated by the Holy Spirit, and even after that, many forget who they belong to -- as James says in James 1:23-24, "For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he is like."waynemlj

I don't think America has a "greatest sin"(Yes I live in the US) I just think US has become a sinful country, there is not greater sin. A sin is a sin. The US needs some help. We have strived away from God and promote things we should never.

There is no sin greater than another. To God...SIN IS SIN!
True, but I believe some sin's will bring a country down quicker than other sins. Just an opinion, it could be in scriptures. I will search this one out.

You are on the correct path, you just didn't go back far enough.1 Samuel 8:7 And the LORD said to Samuel, "Listen to the voice of the people in regard to all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from being king over them.

I Timothy 6:10
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows
What is the love of money? Lust. It comes in many forms - Satan lusted after the mercy seat - Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28. You can lust after money, obviously, in the form of all sorts of riches: cars, homes, gold, etc. Furthermore, you can lust after the opposite sex or something else. There are many idols, there's nothing new under the sun for any of you here and I am preaching to the choir in that regard. However, being lukewarm and even being anti- is what this nation is quickly becoming just as the Israelites. As a whole, everyone would rather go whoring after idols, just not in the form of gods this time around.America's sin is the same as any other in root, we'd rather lust after things then spend time with our Father.
