It brings power. It brings fire. It brings rain. It brings life. It brings God." - Samuel Chadwick
Free will is not the liberty to do whatever one likes, but the power of doing whatever one sees ought to be done, even in the very face of otherwise overwhelming impulse. There lies freedom, indeed. - George MacDonald
The greatest sin today in the church is the man in the pew who is ignorant of the Bible. ~ J. Vernon Mcgee

I like what I've read of J Vernon McGee. He certainly knew his Bible!

I personally think that the same man who leaves the church still ignorant of the bible is a greater tragedy... :(

I believe that The Lord God had planed for these types of issues to end up this way for a correction in righteousness or to save oneself from the world.
"Why do we expect to be better treated in this world than Jesus was?" ~ Leonard Ravenhill
"If Jesus had preached the same message that ministers preach today, He would never have been crucified." ~ Leonard Ravenhill
If you have the smile God, what does it matter if you have the frown of men ~ Leonard Ravenhill
If you find yourself in a particular season, do not be in a hurry to get out or try to find an easier way. We need to trust him all the way to the wire. Remember: God is Good!
""There are no crown-wearers in heaven who were not cross-bearers here below. ~ Charles Spurgeon
"It doesn't take an extraordinary person - just devotion to our extraordinary God - to live an extraordinary life." ~ Unknown.
Christ didn't merely show us humility, he showed us humiliation. Before exaltation comes humiliation. Before there can be a crown, there has to be a cross. We can't possibly receive and serve Christ in our pride and arrogance. We have to humbly fall on our knees before this God who has done all this and more - - so that we might know him intimately and know him forever. ~ R.C. Sproul
"Will God ever ask you to do something you are not able to do? The answer is yes--all the time! It must be that way, for God's glory and kingdom. If we function according to our ability alone, we get the glory; if we function according to the power of the Spirit within us, God gets the glory. He wants to reveal Himself to a watching world." ~ Henry Blackaby

If by saying this above, you're saying God's commandments are impossible to obey, I disagree. For example, when God told Adam to not eat from the forbidden tree. This was not something impossible for Adam to do. After the flood, when God told Noah and his family, which would include all their offspring from that time to today, to not eat the blood of animals, that was not something impossible for them to obey, etc.

So very true! Salvation can be a lonely walk but we are never isolated because "lo I am with you" Jesus never leaves us and we have that inner witness of the Spirit!
8 Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, 9 for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God’s word is not chained. 10 Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory. 11 Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him; 12 if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him...
"The nature of Christ's salvation is woefully misrepresented by the present-day evangelist. He announces a Saviour from hell rather than a Saviour from sin. And that is why so many are fatally deceived, for there are multitudes who wish to escape the Lake of fire who have no desire to be delivered from their carnality and worldliness." -A. W. Pink

No, I don't know who she is. But the website showed several preachers who were making that horn sign.

I have had checked it out and can only find a few Prosperity Message Preachers...however ~ this sign seems to represent so many different things to various cultures and people. I think the comparison in A.W. Pinks quote is in their system of belief rather than the symbolism being portrayed in the photographs.
Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, And rely on horses, Who trust in chariots because they are many, And in horsemen because they are very strong, But who do not look to the Holy One of Israel, Nor seek the Lord! Isaiah 31:1

The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the LORD. - Proverbs 21:31
"Groanings which cannot be uttered are often prayers which cannot be refused." ~ Charles Spurgeon
