    A personal relationship

I find that the same people who deny a "relationship with God" as founded in God's Word or Will, often to be the same people who also deny that we should, "ask Jesus into our heart."These are phrases that are a summation of what is understood by God's Word, of certain parts of His desire or...

    Baptism is it required?

(Aquila;54228) Also "frustrating the gospel of grace" that you speak of is a reference to Galatians. The Galatian church was being plagued by the Judaizers who were demanding circumcision and adherence to Mosaic Law. We are no longer under the Old Covenant, we are under the New Covenant...

    Baptism is it required?

(Aquila;54223) As a preacher, I can't help but ask...what is it you're not willing to give up for the Lord? All I am doing is defending the Gospel of grace. Like Paul, I don't frustrate the Gospel of grace. It is by grace we have been saved. Not by obedience. As a servant of the Lord, I must...

Works... or act of faith? What is the difference.

Is there a difference between "works" and "act of faith?" What is the difference? Isn't every work an act of faith in something, whether it be good or evil? I do not see the difference between to two, and just wondering if there is anyone who thinks there is a difference to explain.

    Baptism is it required?

(Aquila;54215) God loves us as we are....but he also loves us too much to leave us that way. Amen. That's why we ought to walk as He walked. Just don't make it a matter of salvation, or you er greatly.

    Baptism is it required?

(Aquila;54211) Meaning even as Jesus walked. In obedience to the Father. Don't be decieved by easy believism. There is a gospel I call, "the gospel of disobedience". Don't be decieved by hard believism. We can call it what we want, but I wouldn't teach anyone they should disobey. It just...

    Baptism is it required?

(Aquila;54207) It is written,(1 John 2:3-6 KJV)(3) And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. (4) He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. (5) But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God...

    Baptism is it required?

(Aquila;54196) What's soooooo sad is we have Christians who claim the promises of the Ephesian church as written by Paul....but they won't obey the gospel the Ephesian church obeyed! So if you're going to quote Ephesians...don't you think you should embrace the faith they received from Paul...

How do You Know You are Saved

(TallMan;54173) First, you have to receive salvation by receiving God's Spirit within you:-he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour (Titus 3:5-6)Then you simply have to find out if and how...

How do You Know You are Saved

(manichunter;53993) Is your Salvation real? How do you know you are saved from death, hell, and the grave; and, you have been spiritually born again into a spiritual kingdom of God? What is the proof that your salvation is real and legitimate? I believe on the One Who God sent, Jesus the Christ...

What can we do here? Can we bring Him glory? Will He bring glory to Himself?...

Amongst all the discussions... it is sometimes frustrating. Often times discussions turn into bickering and fighting (can this be avoided, I do not know). But, why are we here? I believe we are here (wherever we are, as well as on these forums) to bring glory to God.How can we bring glory to...

    Baptism is it required?

(Aquila;54166) It's not about "maintaining one's salvation". It's about having faith. If one cannot obey...they DON'T have faith. And if they don't have faith...they can't be saved. All I know is that we are no longer under the law. Should we obey? Why yes, we should. Does it take faith to...

    Baptism is it required?

(Aquila;54159) The Law...the Old Covenant. So it was finished when Jesus said it was so?

    Baptism is it required?

(Aquila;54162) All I can say is if a Christian thinks they can live in disobedience and be saved they need a revelation. All I can say is that if a Christian thinks they can maintain their salvation with works they need a revelation.

    Baptism is it required?

(Aquila;54151) Do you believe a person can be saved if they continue in direct sin and disobedience? Yup. Sure do. But, only because that is the promise God has given us, by His Word. I also believe a person is saved apart from works, good or bad. Do you?

    Baptism is it required?

(Aquila;54150) It's not enough that Christ died...Christ had not yet risen. He said it was finished...meaning all in relation to the Old Covenant. The Church wasn't born until Pentecost. The theif wasn't a "Christian" or part of the "church".Also it can be argued that the theif was water...

    Baptism is it required?

People thinking that someone MUST be baptized to attain salvation, or that one could lose their salvation by not being baptized... is baffeling to me. It makes me wonder what else they think a person must do to attain salvation... or what things they could do to lose it. Baptism is a work as...

    Baptism is it required?

(Aquila;54134) About the thief on the cross…he wasn’t a Christian, nor was he part of the New Testament church. You see Christ had yet to die and rise from the grave; so technically the thief died under the Old Covenant. Also the Holy Ghost wasn’t given until Pentecost. This is regarded as...

Is this judging. I need your spiritual opinions.,

(Faithful;54113) A person I know said that since reading and studying science they do not believe God made the earth in 6 days and nights and that the first three books of the bible have been proved false by science.I could see if they proceeded in that vein of learning and thought in the next...
