Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

Jesus is quoted over and over in the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

The only people I completely trust are God and Jesus. They are quoted frequently in the Bible.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

The Bible tells us those are Paul's writings, but it doesn't say Paul is infallible.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

Scott, I think you've made it clear you haven't the ability to be respectful to someone who disagrees with you, so let's put an end to this conversation.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

Speak against God? When I was a young man, I did say something awful to God, but I've apologized and I think he's forgiven me. Speak against his Word? Over and over again on this website I've said we need to obey the things God and Jesus are quoted as saying in the Bible. And I am still...

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

I would suggest that when someone disagrees with you, you resist the urge to call them a trouble-maker.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

Let's sum this up: Paul said women can't speak when they are in a church. I said I think Paul misspoke. You said I was a trouble-maker. Did I leave anything important out?

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

You called me a trouble-maker and accused me of baiting you. Notice how I have treated you respectfully throughout.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

The Bible tells me that, but that doesn't make Paul's writings divine.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

That is not true. I believe we should obey everything God and Jesus told us to do - they are quoted many times in the Bible.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

I think someday you'll be able to disagree with a person without insulting them.
  12. Bob Estey

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

You've insulted me several times. You've called me a trouble-maker, you've accused me of baiting you, you've said I am foolish, and now you say my ability to comprehend is lacking, all because I believe Paul misspoke once in a while. What did Jesus say about insulting people?
  13. Bob Estey

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

Foolish because I don't consider the Bible to be my God?
  14. Bob Estey

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

You can't have two Lords. The Bible is not a Lord.

Prayer for good and free or drop-in group exercise/sports classes for me to attend in my community!

Be careful to choose the right friends. Don't forget you already have a friend, the Lord, and you can always talk to him.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

I am a follower of Jesus, not a follower of the Bible.
  17. Bob Estey

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

I don't put the Bible at the same level as God, other than when God and Jesus are quoted. There is a lot to learn from the rest of the Bible, but the rest of the Bible is not God.
  18. Bob Estey

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

There is only one authority - God - and I'm not God.
  19. Bob Estey

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

No, I am a follower of Jesus Christ, not a follower of the Bible.
