Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

But you aren't quoting God or Jesus.

    Some People

I hope I'm not guilty of that.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

I don't think it's the role of either to rule over the other.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

I consider the words of God and Jesus. I'm not aware of anything either said suggesting women were subservient to men.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

I have only one God - the Bible is not my God.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

The only authority I am aware of are Jesus and God.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

Pick and choose? God and Jesus are divine - we must obey them. No one else is divine.
  8. Bob Estey

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

I think only God and Jesus have the authority to give us commandments - not Paul.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

I haven't found anywhere in the Bible where Jesus or God tell women they can't speak in a church or should be subservient to men in any way.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

Show me where God or Jesus told us women were supposed to be silent.
  12. Bob Estey

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

No, I don't reject them. You can learn a lot from Paul. I just don't give them the authority that I give to God and Jesus.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

I don't believe we are required to obey anyone but God or Jesus. There is much to be learned, though, from the other Bible writers.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

You tell me Paul spoke for God, but you ignore 1 Corinthians 14:33-36, and when I don't accept your explanation, you accuse me of causing trouble.
  15. Bob Estey

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

You can explain it to me a thousand times, but I still don't understand why it's okay to disobey Paul, if Paul is speaking for the Lord.
  16. Bob Estey

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

Apparently you are okay with women speaking in a church, while Paul forbade it. Am I to believe you or Paul?
  17. Bob Estey

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

What are we to make of 1 Corinthians 14:33-36?
  18. Bob Estey

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

So we agree that 1 Corinthians 14:33-36 should be ignored?

    Knitting/Crochet and Other

I think I got it at Walmart.
  20. Bob Estey

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

I believe God and Jesus are quoted many times in the Bible. We need to obey.
