How do you reconcile "the gates of Hell will NOT prevail" with Satan supposedly taking most of mankind to Hell with him?

Are you angry? Why? We don't have to engage if doing so is upsetting you. Are you willing to be persuaded or are you cemented to your theology?

How do you reconcile "the gates of Hell will NOT prevail" with Satan supposedly taking most of mankind to Hell with him?

Unbiblical. Revelation 20:15 describes people being "thrown in" in rather than "sending themselves". 15 And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Why do you believe Satan is still around today? (Please read Op)

Just my opinion but I believe that most people are decent but flawed and struggle with sin. The rest are truly wicked and revel in sin, which is altogether different than struggling with sin.

Why do you believe Satan is still around today? (Please read Op)

Thank you. However, I don't believe that "now" meant in that moment. Notice Jesus didn't say "is" or "was" driven out but "will be". Also, later on, after Jesus's death and resurrection, Paul refers to Satan as the "god of this age" and so it seems that Satan still ruled and, I believe...

How do you reconcile "the gates of Hell will NOT prevail" with Satan supposedly taking most of mankind to Hell with him?

Many Christians believe that Jesus will forever operate Auschwitz-style camps wherein Jesus will sadistically beat and torture the condemned 24/7 FOREVER. It is the epitome of warped theology that casts Jesus as a monster rather than the healer and savior that he is!

Why do you believe Satan is still around today? (Please read Op)

@St. SteVen I believe this is biblical evidence of what we discussed yesterday regarding the church and God's kingdom being synonymous.
  7. Patrick1966

People say you can not lose faith, God can't lose you, is that true?

And yet you believe and teach that Jesus runs some sort of eternal death camp like Auschwitz wherein its captives are tortured and beaten nonstop by Jesus day in and day out. That is your twisted theology.
  8. Patrick1966

People say you can not lose faith, God can't lose you, is that true?

You are mistaken. It is not taken out of context. It is a general statement by the author acknowledging that God doesn't "cast off" forever. Your theology of forever punishment is warped and unbiblical.

How do you reconcile "the gates of Hell will NOT prevail" with Satan supposedly taking most of mankind to Hell with him?

One has to reject a lot of scripture to believe in forever punishment.

People say you can not lose faith, God can't lose you, is that true?

Thank you. I see much of the extreme evil occurring daily in society and so I have a different view.

Ok brother. May God bless us all!

How do you reconcile "the gates of Hell will NOT prevail" with Satan supposedly taking most of mankind to Hell with him?

You cannot answer a simple question because you have a monolithic misunderstanding of God, his nature, his plan, and his scriptures. You could gain understanding but your Himalayan ego and vanity precludes you from doing so. You wish to persuade but are unwilling to be persuaded yourself. You...

    Dogmatic Christianity

It's a general statement. God does not cast one off forever. That's what it says. If punishment is "eternal" then this is another verse that isn't true. One must reject a plethora of scripture to believe in forever punishment.

How do you reconcile "the gates of Hell will NOT prevail" with Satan supposedly taking most of mankind to Hell with him?

So then you agree that the following verse is inaccurate. Lamentations 3:31-33 King James Version 31 For the Lord will not cast off for ever:

How do you reconcile "the gates of Hell will NOT prevail" with Satan supposedly taking most of mankind to Hell with him?

Lamentations 3:31 says God will not cast one off forever. So which is it?
