    Kids aren't egotistical and are really good at forgiveness. We lose that as we age. Jesus is going to transform us so that we again have those characteristics. We can't do that for ourselves.

    I probably have 45 posters on "ignore". When you encounter a jerk put them on "ignore" and go forward. There are some good posters here. Read their posts and interact with them and ignore the rest. You'll get far more out of this community if you follow that advice.

    As for churches, stay out of doctrinal discussions and just stick to being loving and supportive. The moment you discuss doctrines some nutcase is going to accuse you of taking the mark of the beast and then they'll condemn you to Hell. Seriously.

    As for theology, I find a lot of the theology expressed here to be utter garbage. Here's the theology we need. Love God, obey his commandments, and love one another. That's it.

    Paul mentioned a hardening on Israel to prevent its Jews from believing in Jesus until the "fullness" of the gentiles have been brought in. Are such Jews evil people?

    On second thought, God does not permit all people to become believers so maybe it's a "good" thing that unbelievers practice Humanism. I guess I've changed my mind. :)
