NATO is a dead corpse, and it is not Trump's fault

If correct, America should be very concerned. How will America face a Russian dominated Europe and a China dominated far east?

So: What caused the fall of the Roman Empire (if it wasn’t Christianity)?

Incorrect the British empire started after Elizabeth the 1st, some 1600 years after the fall of Rome. The central European ' Holy Roman Empire' based on Austria and Hungary ruled Europe, the Hasburgs in Spain developed an empire in Europe and the americas.

    What are you thoughts?

A devout Jew under law started with the tithe and carried on with many other offerings. A Christian living with all the graces and blessings of Jesus, how can one give less than 5hose compelled by law.

    Forgiveness

Now include the old Testament teaching about forgiveness and the passage I quoted.

    Forgiveness

That is entirely up to God. Why do you make the suggestion that I would assume that Jesus pretended to pray for his crucifiers?
  7. W

    Forgiveness

Coming into this part way. Forgiveness is always conditional upon repentance. No repentance, no requirement for us to forgive. Which leaves us with how do we handle our feelings etc. We copy Jesus, who on the cross did NOT forgive his crucified but rather prayed to his Father asking him to...

Why did this happen to me in prayer

Jesus loves you so much that he died a disgusting degrading death in order to save you. Never say you are a nobody. You are a co heir with Christ, a member of a holy nation, part of a royal priesthood beloved of God.

    What are you thoughts?

I believe that any church with ten employed members who are tithing can employ a minister and pay him a liveable wage. Churches are not ' one man band ' with a pastor doing everything, rather he is the head of the elders who together organise the church, ensure compliance with the law, and seek...

God never calls something "finished", while people are still suffering (suffering much?)

The falseness of this can be seen in that Paul experienced suffering, he wrote about believers suffering and we experience suffering. Jesus cried out, " It is finished! " because he had finished the work he had come tro do.

If you are surrounded by nosey neighbours you can be sure that any sign with biblical verses on it are going to offend people. May I ask why you wany to put up a biblical poster in your garden?

You don’t know; we Jews know

Yes and that is why it was so radical for the disciples to proclaim Jesus as the Son of God.

    What are you thoughts?

I think that he should be encouraging his church to pray for the persecuted church h as well as for those who persecute them and terrorists. As for a pay rise that should be dealt with by the church elders and the financial implications discussed in the churches annual general meeting when the...

It doesn't matter... Or does it?

Being saved, an issue with eternal consequences.

You don’t know; we Jews know

Are you not aware that God the Father is worshipped by ALL in heaven, that Jesus while on earth worshipped his Father, that he prayed regularly to him, that he described him as ' My God and your God'.

He was made sin for us, yes, but how hard will it be: for Him to return to being without sin? (sinning?)

You missed the point. It was never that Jesus was a sinner enslaved to sin, but that as the sinless Son of God he bore ALL our sins and took our punishment. Jesus does not have the weakness w have that sinning is attractive to us. He knows the foulness of sin, how it distances us from God and...

The Wrath of God - How is it love?

Is it loving to always indulge someone, to never say no, to always give in to demand tantrums etc. There are two aspects to love. 1/ is what we identify as loving behaviour. 2/ is the carrying out of discipline.

You don’t know; we Jews know

Jesus worshipped his Father, just as we worship God the Father and God the Son.
