Did I tell you about the office I saw with the man sitting at the desk and another man standing by the door? That was a vision. Not words. I saw it in color. I did not see into the future. God showed me a room.

When I wrote a couple of paragraphs about prophets that I posted on this thread... I was thinking of Old Testament prophets and they were folks that God placed His spirit upon so He could talk to them.

They are being told what is going to happen. They are not seeing the future.

Prophets don't see into the future. God tells them what is going to happen based on how God sees stuff and what He plans on doing.

John the Baptist knew who Jesus was. God told him that. That's all John needed to know to know that Jesus was the Christ and it would be the Christ who would take the sins away.
